who would you pick?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Only important game left at this time in my opinion is next Saturday V Wigan...then hopefully one more game after that in the final.
For Saturday. (assuming availability)
Fabianski
Sagna..Mert ..Kos ..Gibbs.
Gnarby..Ramsey..Cazorla..Ox
Pod
Sanogo.

Flamini suspended and Arteta unconvincing leaves my selection without a holding midfielder but surely we can play on the front foot and add in the pace dictate the game. Sanogo is not good enough to play for Arsenal but he is probably our best option to play. Pod not up to it on his own but can play as second striker.

I will not name a full team, but just say that I think we should start both Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gnabry as they both have pace, power, directness and work hard.

They are both young and make mistakes but we need some belief and nerve to boost a team that looks badly demoralised to me, and these two play with confidence.

Can't have Jenkinson - seems a lovely tryer but leave him out.

4-3-1-2. That should do the trick.
Probably still have more pace than our current starting eleven

Indeed. Including the two late legends.

You have talented players who should be doing better than they are. I personally blame Wenger - Martinez would get your boys playing out of their skin. Look at how the Everton players have reacted to him as a manager.

I'm not saying your squad is perfect - I would have bought a GK ages ago if I was Arsenal manager, a centre back and striker. You'd be away with those signings and competing at the very top again.

Aha - you must have 30 years managerial experience then to be able to see that we need a striker as our current incumbent has been unable to see this since we won your lot the league by letting you have RVP, while we made do with Chamack, Bendtner, Gervinho Park and Giroud :banghead: :banghead:

I would start with Bould in the caterpillar coat and Wenger on the cross channel ferry...or UNDER the ferry ideally.

A new manager in the summer for starters, Diego Someone,Klopp or if the board are being tight fisted, then Bould with coaches DB10 and Martin Keown.

The team, Arteta,Barry,Giroud,Monreal,Sagna, flappyall should be let go.
They should then be replaced with 3 new players at the back. Calum Chambers for RB, a new left back to compete with Gibbs. An experienced defender as cover for BFG.

Schneiderlin to replace Arteta,Matuidi is on a free also, I'm sure our penny pinching club would love that. I'd keep Flamini. Those 3 would improve our midfield physically. There is nothing wrong with our attacking Cm's.

Keep Poldi and Sanogo(he is still young and may learn with good coaching). Give Akpom more of a chance by either loaning him to a midtable prem league outfit on the agreement he gets game time. Then get Mandzukic if Bayern want to do the deal, if not Bony is not a bad punt. He is an excellent header of the ball and has a serious shot on him...a deffo upgrade on pretty boy Olivier. Still think we need a poacher. The kind you can throw on in a tight game, that will be in the right place at the right time for Ozil/Rambo/Jack's killer passes. The type of player Soldado was before the scum ruined him.

All this stuff is irrelevant if the Man gets a new contract.

Why does Bould deserve the job? This isn't a case of a smooth transition, this is a chance (and requires us) to perform an abortion at all levels of the club and refashion it completely - training methods, medical methods, match preparation, tactics, philosophy, transfer policy, staff recruitment, etc etc.

It is a huge huge task and even if you don't view Bould as tainted from his time as Wenger's second-in-command why is he the best qualified for the role? Unfathomable to me.
