Gooner Wembley mash-up special guests a rugby league team

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

AAD - Arsenal Affective Disorder.

Psychological condition - to be driven to, and in some extreme cases beyond, the brink of madness.

Thought to be caused by excessive rage caused by, and directed to, Arsene Wenger.

Circular in both symptoms and cause. Very difficult to treat.
yep sounds very much like it. not to be confused with "WOS - Wenger Out Syndrome"

Atmosphere not the best (even embarrassing at times, I'd like to think it was better in the lower tier) but we picked up after their pen and we're in the bloody final :barscarf:
Some confused faces on Wembley way when we were walking back to Wembley Park and chanting "we're the famous Arsenal and we're going to Wembley" bring back cup semis at neutral venues!

Saturday was a blur, went to the globe but then agreed to head over to the green man and only to be told that by the police no one else was allowed in! Ended up in the holiday inn!

The game was fucking shite but we won! Spent most of the time watching various arguments in block 537, people getting kicked out and crying? Loads of gooners having a go each other. To be honest I didn't enjoy the game at all, it was like sitting in the upper tier at a home game.

Hopefully the final will be better, anyway I'm in Denmark now and getting pissed for free :barscarf:

Went on a Hull forum yesterday for a bit of craic and they had a whole thread on their fans fighting among each other, between the singers and those that wanted to stand and those that didn't, and one of them posted a link to a Sheffield United forum where they were discussing exactly the same thing in their end! What the fuck do they put in that overpriced piss disguised as "Budweiser" at that place? :rubchin:

Mental innit? Most of the people around me didn't utter a word all game (not even a "come on" or "fuck' sake"), just plain weird. Plenty of clueless people as well, like they'd never been to the match before.

Probably the AKB's who seemingly have a habit of blanking out during any bad performance and then revive themselves enough to say: 'Told you so!' if we happen to win.

I was at the upper tier divide between us and the Wigan fans, a few of them and one memorably simplistic ginger bloke tried to 'storm' us after they scored. It was probably a good idea for them to take a physical route because I couldn't understand a fucking word they were trying to say. For our sins we had one pseudo-brave bald bloke in a flat cap and some pissed up weirdo with his jeans around his arse giving it verbals. Thankfully being near those glorified rugby fans seemed to limit the amount of negativity people around me were showing towards our own team.

Mostly enjoyed the game/day, especially the result, but I wish to god someone would put a fucking sock in that loud speaker, even worse than the Emirates.

Cracking bet
Oh btw, I did back the draw and ended up with an essentially refunded ticket and the Arsenal in a cup final, best of both worlds :barscarf: :barscarf:

I was in 537 aswell mate and seen they 2 guys getting kicked out, was wondering what was happening :?

There was a group of 4 pissed lads next to us that were shouting abuse at the guys while the stewards escorted them out... Was pretty weird.

Yeah that was to the left of me, I was on the aisle. Fuck knows what happened but those guys were going mental.

The thing is, the stewards didn't seem bothered by anything. It was other arsenal fans who moaning about standing/singing/swearing/breathing too loudly
