Actually (according to Swiss Ramble) the higher you finish in the league the more of the CL TV money you get. £40m shared 40% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, 20% to 3rd, 10% to 4th - £13m difference from 1st to 4th. You'd have thought our 'financially astute' chairman and manager would have worked this out but apparently not.Bradywasking wrote:Wouldn't be the same, 4th place trophies are to be won on the last day, preferably away . Forget that silver thingy in May....this is the big one that really matters. I want to see the final day league table displayed in the trophy cabinet with a big golden 4 emblazoned above it
ONE ARSENE WENGER.....THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER
Prepare for a jizz cloud to rival the marshmallow man in Ghostbusters if we win here and Everton don't

Hopefully for the FA cup final we will have players back from injury and in good form. The LC final we missed RVP and Fabregas.
Is that the RVP who scored in the final

I haven't heard of that before. Thanks for that revealing info, mate.barnetgooner wrote:Actually (according to Swiss Ramble) the higher you finish in the league the more of the CL TV money you get. £40m shared 40% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, 20% to 3rd, 10% to 4th - £13m difference from 1st to 4th. Kroenke is a business man after all. Why risk spending more in the search of a title, that's not a given, when you're already sitting handsomely.

As long as the 'hairless ex white scum' doesn't score I'm happy. 0 - 1 to us would do. Majic Eagles !!!.

But it is believed by some that the business model Kroenke believes in is that to place higher than third or fourth in the league, we would need to spend more money than we would recoup in the resultant prize money.
Well this is believed certainly whilst Financial Fair Play has yet to take full hold, and we would not be able to outspend the Oligarchs.
Whether it changes we shall see?
There has been plenty of discussion about the viability of that "Spending Equation" on the Board thread here a couple of years ago, and on arsenalnewsreview.co.uk
Re: Hull away FA cup rehearsal
See by some of the comments in here that Wiganitis is creeping in again. Manure are sh*te, we are still only just limping along. So I see an Everton win and us drawing.
Next week Everton might just hold on because saints are on holiday. We've already seen the Shitty squad are bigger bottlers than we are.
The VT isn't ours yet.
Best hope today is that the rumour going round that Bruce wants us to get 4th as insurance that they get into.Europe even if they feck up the cup final....can't see that one myself.

Aaah yes, but 'Mathematically' - should all the teams above us lose all but one of their games - and draw that one - we can still win the title!
yes, madness I know.
Well that is what Wenger is thinking, that's what he told syrup stan on the dog and bone last night.

That story about him signing the new deal is doing the rounds again.
WTF, we only get past Wigan on pens and Spammers seem to think losing 3-1 to the Arsenal is something to be proud off so our form is still middling at best.
2-2 Long,Another from a set piece, Rambo and Poldi.
Giroud will be back to wasting chances. Back to his best form my arris

Starting to have some very healthy options from the bench for a change now.
I call Podolski off - Ox on 68m
Ozil off Rosicky on 74m
Giroud off Sanogo on 78m
