I'm tired of Arsenal Fan TV. It's just Robbie interviewing his mates and they strut around like they're celebrities. We could really do without it.SydneyGooner wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLOoadJi4ZE

I don't generally watch these things so I'm not particularly informed but it seems like that to me.gp543 wrote:I'm tired of Arsenal Fan TV. Lol it has given few of the regulars a bit too much ego but it serves the international community of arsenal fans well by giving them a direct opinion from the fans at the Grove.
The If You Don't Spend We Wont Spend is simply a protest at the board with the view of capturing the corporates' attention, PRIMARILY PUMA, as they are the ones that have real influence over the board and sadly not the fans. Moh doesn't expect it to work, but all things start small e.g. Jobs and Gates.

Did you just seriously compare a football fan's complaints to the foundation of Apple and Microsoft?

I admit that analogy was a bit too strong

But to say that complaint is from a single fan is wrong as MOST Arsenal fans want the club to spend some 4ucking money on great players that'd elevate us to the next level or give us a massive price reduction in ticket and merchandise to reflect their transfer activity; to sit on that money but also allow the increases of 3% is nothing but a slap to the loyal fans that pay money through the noses just to see our team.
We all support the Arsenal and we all want success for the club. We have the same revenue as Bayern Munich ffs and we spend less money than Stoke. The stadium is no longer the straw on our back. We can't afford the board to milk our club whilst our revenues are sky-high at £300m and £100m in the bank.
Any protest at Arsenal, no matter how small, has the ability to go viral as our fan base is massive and seeing the visual protest on TV could permeate onto the internet and social networks, such as Twitter.
Hopefully, we'll invest well in quality players that'd improve us for the next season.

Re: If You Don't Spend We Wont Spend
The thing is he is completely missing the point.... Would anyone with a ounce of common sense trust Wenger to spend £100 mil?? He have proven time and time again that he is incapable of spending the money wisely and gives huge contracts to shit players.
Untill there is a Wenger out poster to hold up I'm out. Oh and I'm sure Puma won't mind thier world known logo held up by 3000 fans..does this bloke know anything about marketing and the power of logos??

Actually at the beginning he said they needed David Dein back and a change in staff room.Pip84 wrote:The thing is he is completely missing the point.... I thought he covered everything quite well.

Like most I have a tremendous amount of gratitude towards Dein for everything he's done for the club but would never want him back whilst Wenger is still here and probably not ever.spendsum4uckingmoney wrote:Actually at the beginning he said they needed David Dein back and a change in staff room.Pip84 wrote:The thing is he is completely missing the point.... Re: If You Don't Spend We Wont Spend
That Moh geezer is one of the few on AFTV who actually talk sense but this "protest" has no legs at all. We won't spend if you don't spend?! Yeah I bet Kroenke, Gazidis and co are pissing themselves at that while you've just handed over £1000+ for your ST.
Re: If You Don't Spend We Wont Spend
I was actually referring to the well known puma logo. And to be honest he's argument was completely flawed because he failed to see the common denominator - wenker. Maybe the most obvious problem is the thing to change? He completely forgets that wenger gives the final say so on tranfers and wages, not the board.
Re: If You Don't Spend We Wont Spend
All anyone requires is a bit of self discipline not to renew their STs and spend money at the club. No need for some protest movement - just don't go any more

Re: If You Don't Spend We Wont Spend
I would suggest that anyone who feels strongly enough to not renew a season ticket or their membership (at whatever level) actually writes to the club to explain exactly why they are not renewing (if it is some form of protest rather than for financial or personal reasons meaning they can no longer attend)SteveO 35 wrote:All anyone requires is a bit of self discipline not to renew their STs and spend money at the club. A few thousand emails / letters with a reason of non spending / manager is incompetent / prices are too unjustifiable / boring football might actually make someone, somewhere take a little bit of notice.
Or even potentially make the press

Yes and there's a lot of pigs flying outside my window. It will never happen. For every fan that doesn't renew for whatever reason, there's a new fan who is probably richer that wants to take their place. The club don't give a fuck about veiled threats from fans like mo.StuartL wrote:I would suggest that anyone who feels strongly enough to not renew a season ticket or their membership (at whatever level) actually writes to the club to explain exactly why they are not renewing (if it is some form of protest rather than for financial or personal reasons meaning they can no longer attend)SteveO 35 wrote:All anyone requires is a bit of self discipline not to renew their STs and spend money at the club. He is intelligent there is no doubt and knows his stuff, but his ideas are bordering on lunacy. You don't spend we wont spend loool. Do you think all those overseas fans will follow his cue as he is requesting ? Somehow I don't think so.
