I would pick Gallas in front of Mert as the Mert's lack of pace is exposed in the big games.Walcott and Nasri only get in through lack of competition in their positions

Similar height, build and pace to Koscielny, but with Koscielny I always fear he has a mistake in him.
Gallas had that burning desire to win, and had done so, unlike our squad.

I select RvP as a striker, and question your use of RvP as a number 10, he would take too long on the ball in that position, too often our build-up would break down with him dallying on the ball.
As a number 10 he was a scorer of great goals, but it was not until he moved to striker that he became a great goalscorer.

Adebayor had one 30 goal season, but which Adebayor turns up for a game?
Spent his last season with us as if he was a Georgian country squire on a post beef and oyster pie stroll in the park.

In a league with Stevie Mee and Fat Frank banging in the goals Cesc was still, the best midfielder in the country at such a young age. Barca have ruined him.

I still think Gallas was a big player for us other than his huge hissy fit. Hleb was magical with the ball at feet at times, Eduardo was unlucky with his injury. Ozil I am sure will become a massive player for us next season.

So you think Johnson is much better than Jenkinson and Flanagan than Gibbs because I've watched all 4, not much difference and 2 of those are likely going to win the league. That defence is better than the victims and Judas on form is better than rat boy so don't see where you are coming from but as they say opinions are like a**eholes. Everybody's got one.

God this is a depressing thread.

Sagna and Gibbs shouldn't be anywhere near a best Arsenal XI of any era. Kos makes two many rash challenges and Per gets caught out of position & not tracking back too often.

ask yourself with the benefit of hindsight who would you go back and buy again ? - Gallas, Clichy, Ramsey, Podolski, Nasri, adebayor, rosicky, ches as back up keeper, only perhaps ?

if Walcott could of stayed fit then he'd be in there, but otherwise its just an illustration of the lack of talent we've bought in since 2006, and or how we've misused players out of position.

Cesc and RvP would already be in the squad as said before, but there's not a lot to pick from.
