You can bet he will be high up on Manures list (Again)
I would welcome him back- I always thought it was a big big mistake for him to go to Barca. Much as I like Santi he has been giving the ball away far too much this season, would play Cesc ahead of Santi any day.

Maybe.
Definitely good enough to walk back in to the side.
The only 'maybe' for me is more around the fact that he would be the 'one big signing' to appease the windowlickers and if at the expense of a striker then forget it

Them 3 would be great in a non contact version of football but who is going to do any tackling (showers aside) in that line upSPUDMASHER wrote:How could you not want a player of that quality back in the team?
I think the link up between him, Ozil and Rambo would be almost telepathic.
Definitely not the captaincy though. I actually think that belongs with Mertersacker next season.

This is my thinking behind not wanting Sagna to go. It's not that we couldn't get better, it's that we have enough difficulty making one key signing so if we have to make multiple there will inevitably be failures.SteveO 35 wrote:Maybe.

You could easily sit Flamini in the DM role, or failing that go and buy a good DM.LeftfootlegendGooner wrote:Them 3 would be great in a non contact version of football but who is going to do any tackling (showers aside) in that line upSPUDMASHER wrote:How could you not want a player of that quality back in the team?

Cesc and Rambo have never been afraid of putting a foot into a tackle.

Interesting replies to 'my' poll...
Heart says to have him back, but it would have to be a swap for Jack or Caz.
In my original post it was a midfield general I was thinking we needed most - a tough tackler, a bollocker, a captain.
Plus two CB's who can cross, plus cover if TV goes.
Plus one of Arteta or Flamini is going to be done next year.
So if Cesc came back he's going to have to play a holding midfield role otherwise we lose Ramsays goals.
I can see it working as part of a 451 or 352 but not a 442.

Why would it? Can we not have decent players outside the first 11clockender1 wrote: Heart says to have him back, but it would have to be a swap for Jack or Caz.

if we are to win trophies we need a good squad, so if Jack/ Santi/Ozil drop to the bench, then that's a good thing.
Don't want to see Miyachi on the bench for filler.
The only argument against is we have critical position in striker that must be filled as no1 priority.

That's not entirely correct, nothing is that simple (where is DB by the waygp543 wrote:Thank you. It's really that simple.TheCook wrote:You can never have too many good players

We ain't buyin that many players so a forward and DM are priorities.

we can. but do we want to pay 30million for Cesc ?SPUDMASHER wrote:Why would it? Can we not have decent players outside the first 11clockender1 wrote: Heart says to have him back, but it would have to be a swap for Jack or Caz.
would you swap OX or Ramsey for Cesc ?
Barca will want their pound of flesh somehow
Re: [POLL] Should we buy back Cesc Fabregas?
So by your logic we shouldn't have bought Özil?LeftfootlegendGooner wrote:That's not entirely correct, nothing is that simple (where is DB by the waygp543 wrote:Thank you. Yes, he worked very well in our set up.
