Cup final tickets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We've sometimes had Club Wembley offered in charity auctions at work so don't see a problem using them even if not in your name...providing they are genuine.

When we played Brum in the league cup final my missus brought me a ticket off an online agency as a 'surprise'. It cost her about £330 and I was convinced it would never arrive. My postman must have thought ai was mad waiting for him at the door each morning  It turned up on the friday before the game and even then I convinced myself it was a fake and I would not get in. It worked though and then I had to watch that shit!!!!! I don't think I could do it again. The tv it is for me and the boy!!

Methinks this will be the 14th time I'll have been to see Arsenal in a final (4x League cup, 3x European, 7x FA Cup)... My overall record so far is won 5, lost 8! On the upside my FA Cup record is above average with 3 wins and 3 defeats!

is this website reliable? does anyone know?

http://www.1st4footballtickets.com/

tickets are £400+ on there, but I know I cant get one with my silver membership and for a cup final It'd probably be worth scraping the pennies together for!

If you assume 5000 purchased for starters.

Boxholders and Diamond were all guaranteed 1 each so thats another 2000 gone

Strip out sponsors, partners, hanger ons, players , etc etc must be another 1000 wiped out.

That leaves 17,000 maximum and I estimate at least 34,000 left to apply so safe to think it will be 1 in 2 chance of getting at best
Yeah I figured that, but given those odds what do we do when 1 or 2 out of our group don't get a ticket. If all three of us don't get em mehhhh fair enough, but its inevitable that someone will be disappointed. Has anyone had any good stories to tell about buying from touts (not that being fleeced is good!) ie they havent been scammed? I've seen one ticket seller outed on craiglist as a scammer.

Craiglist is full of scammers, none of them is genuine!! I messaged some of them b4 the semifinal and surprisingly none of them lived or could meet up in London, they wanted me to pay them either through paypal or into their bank account. I thought paypal was safe but after doing some research, I found out that Paypal doesn't guarantee any protection unless the transaction has been made on ebay. I bought a pair off an agency in the end, they sent the tickets over and I had no problems at all. Obvs they were over face value.

Anyways, don't trust anyone on craiglist unless they are willing to meet and give you the tickets in hand[/quote

Friend of mine got lucky with a ticket for the semi from craigslist. He was a bit f**ked off though, because he met the guy to get the ticket and it wasn't a tout but a fellow gooner selling his mate's unwanted 30 pound tkt for 100 pounds :cussing:

Ordinarily I wouldn't trust Craigslist.

As much as I'd love to go to this I cannot honestly even begin to justify spending upwards of 100quid for a football game, unless we were in a champions league final. But by all means good luck to those who are trying. I might be a bit more ready to pay that kind of money if I was a single man.

Managed 4 from 5. And I'm not taking the blame for the ref being a *word censored* against Liverpool either.

I think the 3+ credit requirement is so low that the idea of only 10,000 having surpassed that out of near 40,000 ST holders has to be an underestimate. Credit farming is commonplace.

The cheapest seats are in the hull end. Try adding the postal option to the ticket for the arsenal end that is priced at £451 and hey presto another £150 quid gets added to cover service tax and fees. So the cheapest tickets on this site for our end are over £600 and who knows if they will actually send the tickets or its just another scamming site. You may even just end up with tickets in the hull end, theres no mention of block numbers.

Personally I would rather go to one of the ticketing agencies in the west end, who will no doubt know someone who can get tickets. Face to face see the tickets before you hand over the dough imo.

Commonplace yes, and by a good few on here, but not by as many as 10000... The most difficult thing is to reach 3-5 in the first place.... Once you are there though then easy to keep them there.

Its easy, buy a few tickets and don't turn up. Worthless cup tie up north mid week will be an easy ticket, as will a CL tie in greece or turkey. Then buy one more job done. As its over practically 3 seasons you only need to go to the odd away game to keep your entitlement running. Its still much cheaper than getting scammed by a tout, apathy cost us this time. For the worthless cup we got first dibs with away credits.

I tend to agree with with MK, you'd be surprised how few people have away credits in the upper tier, 7 of my mates are in the ballot as they can't be arsed to go away these days mainly cos of a general apathy towards the club & Inspector Clueless. Most of the guys that sit round me are in the same boat, so simple maths says it's prob less than the 10k mark.

He sent me a photo proof of the ticket and the tickets were ticketmaster tickets so I guess he could print them out again and get a new barcode. Do u know if Club Wembley tickets can be transferred to non-members?
Yes thay can be- meant to be "given" to a friend or family if you cant make the event, but in reality flogged off- I think that the ticket allocation can be emailed over to you

The only way to officially "sell" them is via the exchange as mentioned above, but how Thomas Cook and Abbey travel sell them I do not know.
