All of the above have missed a significant part of this season - even the likes of Arteta, Gibbs have missed reasonable amounts.
That he massively held us back and i dont see how anybody can question that - no Manager could win the league without 6 of his best players out for most of it. The injury situation has to be looked at, totally agree - but you cant legislate for Walcotts Knee going, Wilshere getting smashed by Aggers foot etc.
I dont deny that Wenger has made mistakes this season, but 4th and the FA Cup? Most people on here would have bitten your hand off in August and without those injuries it could have been a lot better. Wea re not that far away.
The worry for me is 1 win in 5 years against the top sides, but i cant remember the last time we went into a big game with all our players available, its not the sole reason for losing / getting smashed - but it doesnt help.
So Walcott is now one of our best players
I always remember defending him and you saying he was shit

haha, as much as you can doubt Walcotts ability - he makes a contribution in terms of Goals and Assists that nobody can deny, and he is improving season after season - the fear of him has more of an effect on the opposition than his ability.........and unfortunately there is nobody else in the squad that gives the outlet he does, so he has been a huge huge miss.

United away, only absentee was BFG.
We had loads of "squad" players out that day - the bench was awful and it cost us. Per was a huge miss as it destabalised the defence and TV had barely played.
We might not be far away from the level of success this club has repeatedly promised us, but we'll always continue to be that far away without significant investment in the squad or a change in our philosophy.
Tactically we are frequently inept, regardless of the playing squad, and the blame for that can only lay in one place.
Look at Chelsea yesterday. They went to Anfield with 7 players changed from their preferred starting 11 and got a win against Europes form team.
Don't tell me that players being unavailable is a good enough excuse for getting raped against Citeh, Manure, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Injuries this season. FFP last season. Citys money the previous season. The board before that. Citys money the previous season. Chelsea before that. The new stadium before that. Bad refereeing decisions. Downright bad luck. Injuries again.......

Im not making an excuse, its a fact we have been ravaged by injury this season, Ramsey would have won player of the year had he stayed fit and carried on as he did - do you not agree his absence alone has cost us points?
If you want to talk about poor set-up, not buying a striker post the Theo injury il probably agree with you but this season has been particularly bad in terms of injuries and it has cost us a number of points - no manager can legislate for that.
Chelsea got a result, but it should reallty have been a 0-0 shouldnt it - and Liverpool are not as good as people make them out to be - an outstanding individual has dragged them through and he has not been injured, our key players have been injured. Plus they have played 25 odd games less than the likes of Arsenal.
Morinho is a good manager, but there is a good chance Wenger will win more than him this year

Some good points there BDB but I think you forgot to mention the most important one....You know. the one about Wenger being finished and should have gone years ago?

Except Arsene should be able to because - and see if you can spot the trend here - it happens every single year.
Walcott's absence could have been covered in January but for some inexplicable reason we signed Kallstrom. If no manager can legislate for injuries then perhaps we need to look at why we get so many every single season. If our training isn't up to scratch or we continually play players who are unfit or in the fucking 'red zone' then whom do we blame for that, Chelsea, Sheik Mansour, the FA?

But if our key players have missed chunks of the season then how have they still played 25 odd games more than the victims ?

Lets concentrate on injuries cause its an excuse not to blame Wenger this season.
Lets conveniently forget the previous years of capitulation and failure and just talk about this season.
