As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You cant have a pop at the club if your protests are as half hearted as our transfer policy. I guarantee anything done today wont get anywhere near the mainstream media. Newcastle on the other hand had maximum impact, its all over ssn and SNF match choice. No doubt it will also be discussed on sunday supplement.
You can understand if our protest today isn't met with universal support... we've (4 of us no less!!) decided to go as we think it's good to keep the club on its toes ahead of the summer, but equally CL football again next season (and don't we just take that for granted!) and an FA Cup final to look forward to is hardly the same position as Newcastle. They'd lost 6 on the trot. Sold their stand out player without a replacement (ok, I know...RVP and all that!), haven't won a major trophy since 1969...and have an owner who has done some stupid things in the past seemingly designed to upset the fans - renaming St James Park, appointing Dennis Wise, and then Joe Kinnear, as Directors of football - over the head of the Manager...
So I can understand why our protest will be numbered in the hundreds today while their's was well supported yesterday... But out of acorns and all that...
Good luck with the protest (genuinely, before anyone thinks otherwise)
Problem is the mood of the windowlickers today will be delirium that the Be All and End All has been reached for another year. Think it would have helped your cause if it looked like we were missing out on the promised land, but good luck all the same

That's not really my point tbh, its more how Arsenal fans protest and what we do. Manure hire a plane with a statement, Newcastle walk out the stadium and we errrrr.......

March to a roundabout, LOL!
Go and hire a plane then and come back and tell us all how it went
i bet the club watched those banners very closely so that they didnt make it into the ground - kroenkes gestapo would never allow dissent like shown at Newcastle yesterday.
the mail did do a piece on it - which included the 10 pound a ticket lie
That video is from just as it started I think. By the time I rocked up the crowd was at least twice as big as it is there. To be honest, there was a bigger turnout than I expected. Fair play...
As much as I support this protest against the price rise it was pretty average. 200 at most outside the Directors entrance and no doubt little or no impact.
Of far more interest however should've been several thousand empty seats and an atmosphere that could've been improved in a kids playground. There's no balls behind our support just sniggering and points scoring. It's all pretty shit really.

But I went today and IMO something needs to be done inside the ground, whilst the game is being played. I wouldn't have even known there was a protest at all today, seemed just a happy atmosphere around there to me. So that's probably how it seemed to stan, gazidis etc
I'm surprised people wern't busily celebrating the VT coming home ,this time as the first step towards a historical double just as we did when we won the league in 1991 when Liverpool losing at forest meant we were champions hours before stepping onto the pitch against mufc.
In fact im surprised that Highbury wasn't a seething mass of celebration on Saturday night as revelers celebrated the city win just as they did in 89 .
Must be getting old !
Anyone remember the banners and the chant you can stick your fucking two points up your arse sideways to a highly red faced GRAHAM KELLY ?
