Membership Renewal

The robbing bastards have put Silver Lite up by £4 to £49 just for the right to buy tickets. The pathetic excuse given was it is due to operational costs

Sorry gents but until we start getting linked to lots of quality players we're not going to buy it just can't be renewal season yet. You must all be mistaken.

I'm surprised that the renewal opportunity doesn't come with a personal message from Gazidis telling us all how 'ambitious' the club is and how 'significant funds are available to the manager to strengthen the squad'

How long does it generally take it to be upgraded from red to silver?

Next season will be my 4th as a red.

I have been a red member since 2005 and I am still waiting, just to give you an idea.

I am happy to pay an extra 3 quid to go towards Wenger's new deal, he deserves it, just wish I could pay more!

last November there was 120 million quid in our bank account.

a damn disgrace that they are putting prices UP.

they should be slashing prices for kids, OAP's and cat B & C games and the early rounds of both cups.

MY club really is dead.

Anyone cancelled their direct debit membership before? Do I just cancel the direct debit with my bank?

I reckon next year (if I do) will be about my 9th as a red, still awaiting silver :(

I pursued the elusive Silver Membership from 2004-2013 before eventually giving up at the start of this season (i.e. I didn't renew my Red Membership). I asked the club how long I was going to have to wait - given it had already been nine years - and they weren't willing to answer the question. For the last couple of years of the membership, I was only renewing to stay on the list, and I decided that I was essentially just wasting my money - because it could've gone on like that for another nine years, for all I know.

What really sent me over the edge was seeing the £50 Silver Membership cost - fuck that! And even if I did get it, I couldn't see myself paying £80+ for games. I just don't value the 'experience' at anywhere near that cost.

This season is the first that I haven't been to a single game (home or away) since 1992/93, when I was eight. I'm sad that it's come to this, but I have to say, I don't miss going at all. Even watching games on the TV is a chore. Shame, because in 2006, I would've fucking died for this club.

My plan is to renew once Wenger has gone, and I'm hoping it will reignite my passion again, but I'm not convinced that will be the case.
