The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agree 10000000% with you rodders - that c*nt is one of the most irritating prix to ever play the game and he has a bigger "look at me" persona than even stevie me    :censored: :censored:

Costa actually played a couple of games for Brazil, but since they were only friendlies they didn't stop him changing allegiances. As for not being part of Brazil's plans, Scolari has been moaning about Costa's betrayal all year.

Costa has never played as much as one club professional game in brazil.......not one  His first pro club to join was braga in Portugal so are you honestly telling me, that if you came from a football crazy country with loads of top clubs like brazil has, that it wouldn't piss you off that not even one club was willing to sign you up ?? He grew up in brazil and seen first hand how he was treated/viewed so he was well within his rights to tell them to fcuk off

SteveO was right all along. Costa definitely isn't coming. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I was hoping we would sign him at one point, but having watched him this season he looks distinctly average despite racking up a decent goal count. I see him being another Chelsea flop. I'll eat my words when he's putting 3 past us at our annual tummy tickle at the bridge.

Costa had a 32 million buy out clause according to Sky. Wonder why Mourinho didnt offer 32 million + £1?
Why? Cause he actually wanted to buy the player. Not just give the impression that he wanted to buy him and insult everyone in the process.

While our rivals are strengthening early our so called manager insists we cant do business until late. What a load of complete bollox!

As much as I dread this happening, I keep thinking how The French Folly brought in that other mancscum reject LightBulbHead - so this IS going to happen, I just know it...

If it does that's me done till wenger's gone. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

BBC Radio Solent report Soton have received an offer from Liverpool for Lallana.

Shaw, Lallana, Costa.

yup, no business going BEFORE the world cup. :banghead:

edit: ESPN report Chelsea made offer for Costa two months ago, after triggering 32million buy out clause...

It's not about your profession, it's about your patriotism and pride in where you come from. Costa is Brazilian, was born in Brazil and should have played for Brazil. Should Messi have told Argentina to fuck off because it was Barcelona who gave him the hormone treatment and so switched to playing for Spain instead?

WTF is this, people getting worked up over imaginary events now? I can guarantee you Ferdinand won't be within a mile from the Grove this summer.
