There was some serious manlove between flappy and Wenger after the semi and flappy is his go-to keeper for cup games. Wenger wont change.
Fabainski has been brilliant whenever he's played this season, I really don't see what the issue is here.

Liverpool would've knocked us out if it weren't for him and he was heroic in the penalty shootout against Wigan.

He made some good saves against Liverpool but none that Szczesny probably wouldn't have made. Let's also gloss over the fact he did his best to hand them a replay as he left Agger with an open goal as he came flapping. And how he came waltzing out of his area against Wigan and nowhere near the ball.

He's got form for it - when he got a run at the end of 2009/10 both Blackburn and Wigan targeted him aerially. Sure enough Samba headed in from about a yard out with Fabianski terrified and nowhere near a punch and he dropped one straight onto Titus Bramble's head to cost us a goal there too. As for the waltzing, 2009 semi - need I say more?

He has fortunately not cost us so far but bar those saves against Liverpool has been untested and it's still obvious the defence have little to no faith in him, every game I've seen him coming to collect a ball and them hacking it away anyway because they don't trust him. Even when he came in last season and performed well there was still a heart-in-mouth moment every match.

Unbelievably short-sighted to erase years of costing us and replace it with a few penalty shoot-out saves. Perhaps we'll get away with the pick, maybe Szczesny makes a mistake if he plays, maybe Fabianski plays well if he gets the nod. But regardless of the rest of his game he has ALWAYS been a monumental liability in the air and any manager worth his salt will pick that up in the prep. And if he plays and that gets targeted, there is a huge chance it will cost us a goal.

on corners Fabianski stays on his line, that is a concern, does Hull have the ability to expose that? They usually like crossing a lot, but hopefully brucey doesn't see this thread otherwise we're f*cked.

Dunno what the problem is personally. Hull have been awful for the last month. We have regained our form, have Ramsey back playing at his best which makes a massive difference to the balance of the team.

I honestly think they have more to worry about us offensively than the other way round. The result will probably be reflective of how curtis davis and co perform than flappy if he gets the nod. Give him credit, he has played his best this season in the cup.

Should be a win, but we all know how this team handles "should of" kind of games. if AW gives the armband to the pedestrian, slow, useless mikel arteta again i think im gonna puke. The BFG should always have the captaincy.

Wenger played Richard Wright in our 2002 FA Cup run then brought Spunky back in for the final vs Chavs. I suspect Chez will get the nod.

I'll watch it, I'll be happy for the win but it's nothing compared to the excitement that used to come with a Cup Final.

PS IF, IF - Wenger starts Sanogo and we do not win he should resign on the spot - having said that, i would be quite chuffed if the lad scored in a 1-0 win but i'd rather he came on at the 80th and put one away to make it 6-0.
No doubt the FA cup has sold its soul since manure opted out of the competition to play in the world club championship a few years back; but how can you dismiss that charlie george moment, alan sunderlands afro sprinting across the wembley turf, andy linighans broken nose goal, marc overmars vs newcastle, "its only ray parlour" and we love your freddie scoring screamers vs chavski, "USA, USA, USA " daylight robbery vs the mancs.

It kinda pisses me off to see the comments above, the FA cup is still a trophy worth winning, wish the haters would just disappear for a week. It would be nice to have another special moment to add to the list then you can carry on whingeing all summer because I wont be on the forum.
Having re-read, i think you need some comprehension practice - maybe during your summer break.
LOL! I was in bed typing that this morning. I hardly think the quality of my English detracts from the message I was trying to put across. Ohh and if you want to peddle English lessons I wont be knocking on your doorstep, its "I" not i!

What a numpty!
It wasn't the quality of your English that I was referring to - it was your ability to understand my post ie your 'comprehension' of it. What I was suggesting is that your criticism was misguided if you had understood it properly. But well picked up on the small 'i' - that is outstanding. Keep going with your insults while you're at it instead of reading properly. By the way its 'Oh' not 'Ohh'.
Just to summarize, your message was that "the FA cup has sold its soul" and then you hark back to famous matches of the past - if you had properly read my post you would have actually agreed with it rather than go on like a pork chop. Finally, I'd suggest knocking on doors rather than doorsteps - are you finding you get no response?

You are saying that its nothing like the excitement that used to come with a cup final win, I am saying it is, more because we haven't won a trophy for 9 years than anything else. That is nothing to do with the FA cup being devalued by the likes of Wenger and Ferguson it's a personal thing. I also suspect with the thousands of ticket less fans that will flock to watch the game in and around the stadium, they are getting the same vibe.

And I can't understand how any gooner wouldn't get the same feeling. To go 9 years without a trophy in the way we have is depressing, so why when he get a sniff of what is still a significant piece of silverware do you have to be so negative. That's why the emirates is such a library, because its full of miserable fuckers like you.

I've always said we will never win another trophy under Wenger and despite all logic suggesting I will be proved wrong, I can't help thinking he will throw a spanner in the works, probaBly in the form of Sanogo and the long awaited monumental Flappy fuck up.
I hope I'm wrong but fear I'm not.
