The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Levy's firing of his top-brass would make Churchill and Stalin blush. What do they expect? they're Tottenham for Christ's sake.

Delusional halfwit.

Apparently Spurs are so confident of landing Mauricio Pochettino that they're already looking for his replacement.

yup.

sherwood had a win % of 59%. The spuds highest ever. 1 win behind AW....

having read his comments i quite like sherwood now - & some knob was giving him gyp so he got the stewards to pull the spud out the stand and had him sit in his seat, and told him 'you do it then..... LOL.

Lennon resigned from Celtic.

I think he is headed the spuds way. i'm in two minds - maybe he can succeed outside celtic "bubble" or maybe he'll be a spectacular failure....

Because of his one season wonder with Southampton. Big fucking deal - walked into a club with a ready made production belt of talent and got them a top half finish. Is that it?

And that's why he wants to leave. He's done well there but when Adkins left they were set right up. It's a sad reality but Southampton are inevitably going to end up selling their best players and have to try and attract lesser-known (probably foreign) talent and hope they can continue to bring quality youth players along the conveyor belt.

If United and Liverpool come knocking for Shaw and Lallana respectively they're gone, realistically they will struggle to hold off advances from the likes of Everton and Spurs too if they're really determined to sign one of their players. They've hit a glass ceiling and I get the sense Pochettino would rather walk out on a high.

Rodgers did the same at Swansea - he did well to get them promoted and established but fuck me did Martinez do one hell of a job gutting that club from top to bottom and laying an absolutely phenomenal platform. We played against their U18s in a Welsh Youth Cup match and unsurprisingly got tonked 4-1 but it was obvious that everyone at every level in the club massively bought into Martinez's beliefs and processes. He was even there in the stand watching that game, such was his commitment.

"Reports claim that the 26-year-old has become disillusioned with his inability to cement a regular first-team spot at the Nou Camp".

Was song delusional/arrogant enough to actually believe he'd be a starter for Barcelona?

I mean, it's all well and good having confidence in yourself but he had to contend with Busquests, Thiago, Fabregas, Iniesta, and Xavi... He's lucky to even make it off the bench.

Anyway, I almost want to say it'd be hilarious if he ended up at Tottenham after thinking the grass greener at Barca, but nobody deserves that.
