As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I read it too and enjoyed the banter (comes close to some of our "love-ins" on here )
Had a discussion with a Liverpool-supporting acquaintance of mine when he tried to defend Gerrard being the 2nd best player in the PL this season.
He started giving it the big one about being reinvented in his new role. I asked which role that was, 'the holding midfielder' he responded. When asked whether pace on and off the ball from the 4 or 5 front players was at the heart of Liverpool's lethal attacking prowess, he enthusiastically agreed. I then pointed out to him that limiting Gerrard's attacking involvement stopped him slowing the play up and allowed them to move the ball quicker and find more space. Stumped. I then pointed out that this was Liverpool's worst season defensively for decades and decades, hardly a glowing reflection on his performance in the holding role especially as it's not like they seem to have shipped in loads of goals from set pieces, they just can't seem to defend as a team. Safe to say he was spitting feathers - not sure if I imagined it but I thought he tried to blame South Yorkshire constabulary for their defensive record
Very very true. A good player on his day and sometimes brilliant, but not a patch on Vieira or Keane or Toure. Also Stevie Me is an Ubercunt on a par with John Terry.
