As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Well, that fucking opened the proverbial can of worms!
Seriously - won't someone please think of the children!!
Armchair - I was the one that first objected to Hlebby changing the title. But as a mod I also object to you saying we wade in too quickly on here. Most of you would be banned for life from nearly every other forum for posting the stuff you all post on here. And I include all us mods in that too!

Peace brothers - there are chav$ to beat tonight.
Don't worry DB10, the forum lawyers are on the case!! (Although whether it would be possible to win the case now that Rolypoly is no longer with us ... )

Jesus dont even bring his name up - this thread has sunk low enough without bringing him into the discussion
ive been a big critic of him this year, but tbf the comments in this article show some maturity that i've not seen before - the "you can't always blame the injuries" and " not just looking good on the ball" gives me a lot of hope.
and fair play to him for seeking scholes out.
imho if Jack can just go back to basics and keep it simple, keep his head up and look for the easy pass or move into space until another pass is on, rather than running into blind alleys, and attack the box more, that will add a lot to his game - he's got quite the engine but his small size means he does need to avoid getting thumped by the big boys...
if he can learn to play the holding role, he could be quite the partner for Ramsey...
Jack was born to play B2B role that Iniesta plays. If anything, Ramsey is the one who's going to have to adapt if Wenger is so insistent in playing this vacuous 4231 when we have no dominant DM...
I also think that Jack has been unfortunate to be playing on the left where we have been unbalanced for quite some time. Gibbs constant ventures forward and with cazorla and podolski always cutting in the inside then forces Wilshere to make do with running at the fullback which restricts his passing opportunities.
Jacks a real problem for CBs when he's running at them full pelt as he stretches the defence for other players to exploit.

he needs to release the ball quicker. for me it looks the same, every game, makes a mad dash upfield with his head down, runs and runs until he sees defenders feet, pulls his head up, releases the ball with only shoelaces to spare and is clobbered by the defender.

Thats a bit harsh. He does need to release the ball quicker but he's a really special talent. Teams know this and set out to take him out every single time as he's that vital bridge from attack to defence.
Wilshere just needs a proficient, big and physical DM alongside him to thrive, like Alex Song, just as Arteta needs Ramsey.

Please tell me this is tongue in cheek?
OK maybe not proficient
But Wilshere's best form coincided alongside Alex Song who did the all the dirty work for him. Arteta isn't the guy who puts himself about on the field and Flamini is far too

pretty much this. or he dithers on the ball. either way he slows the game down. Even Arteta keeps the ball moving quicker.
U94- no manager in his right mind would give up Ramsay's shooting ability...
maybe its like Gerrard & Lampard a few years back, maybe these two just can't play together ? - at the moment Ramsay is some way ahead of Jack, as even after his injury he came back very strong.

I think they're more than able to play with each other but it's just with Mesut Ozil, being the 1st name on the teamsheet, there's no way on God's Earth that all 3 would be able to play together without horrifically exposing our defence.
A midfield three of Javi Martinez, Ramsey and Wilshere would be amazing.

*I love Mesut Ozil
P.S. this is the 2nd time my post has tripled. Anyone know the problem?
