Normally I would support the underdogs, the wannabee Tykes, but on this occasion, along with many "neutrals" I'd like Arsenal to win a trophy and stop all the negativity and get the monkey off your back. I just can't see anything other than an Arsenal win, by 2 or 3 goals, Hull pass it well but they don't hurt much.

The 56 minute thing, don't bother, it's your day not ours. Do it and small vociferous bunch of social media grief junkies, who were not even born that day, will have won. That will be a sad day for football, before you know it, Bolton will want the same, Man U too, then Rangers, then the cup final will have to played until the 96th minute so L'poo don't feel left out. Fans friggin hands wills sore from all the clapping.

It's split fan against fan oop here, just as it did at Wembley with some refusing to touch the 56 flag, and 56, a number is what those fans are now reduced to. These idiots are demanding respect, you can't do that, what you get won't be sincere, they don't want to commemorate anything, they want to celebrate, like they do. Turning seamlessly "We all hate Leeds SCUM" into "Always remember the 56" (Tom Hark) How friggin disrespectful can it all get?
You can have opinions, we all do but when you read what you have written you realise there is a bigger picture. Dare I say this but has the 56 minute thing been borne out of Hillsborough fatigue..

You have to ask "Why now"? Why not on the 10th anniversary or the 25th, significant dates, why 29 years later? Once you start...........It's because a small number of vociferous grief junkies are demanding "respect", in their pathetic tragedy competition, we can't compete with the big boys at football so this is their chance to grab the spotlight.

Every year we have a dignified remembrance out the memorial, Cathedral and at our last home game. We need nothing else. Some away clubs do something, some don't, it's no big deal, this year a Crawley player laid a beautiful wreath before KO, it was well appreciated, it was not demanded, therefore sincere.........meaningful.

I do not think you will find one person who was there who wants a minutes silence at the FA Cup final. It's like collective hysteria has caught the UK regarding football tragedies at the mo. These twats have taken to standing on 56 minutes at our own ground Valley Parade (Why now?), what happens? They get told to STFU and sit down! :D

You make total sense here, I am sick of all of this hillsborough stuff overshadowing the Bradford fire but that doesnt mean you start acknowledging it 29 years later.

IMO there should be a minutes applause for Stephen Sutton a man who achieved soo much in a short life. Now that is current.

Bang on, what a star and what a life to be celebrated with applause. 56 fans, in the wrong place at the wrong time, burning to death, should be have a minutes applause 29 years later? Let's be honest it means less than nothing. If you want to clap, clap, but don't feel obliged.

Anyway.........enough, I can find myself getting mad. I am going for a rock solid & comfortable 3-0 win and all your worrying be in vain. :D

Didn't like the bus pic mind................

4-0 to The Arsenal.
For the semi I was getting more nervous as the game got closer...This week I'm getting more confident...not sure if that's a good sign or not...but I think the players should have enough about them to win this no matter what the manager does..early goal and we will stuff them.

As for the Flappy - Ches debate...you play your best keeper which is Ches by a long long way. Don't care what Flappy did in the previous rounds..he's leaving in the summer, we owe him nothing and he gives me a heart attack every time the ball is near our area.

(If we lose to a last minute Ches fuck up is there any way I can delete this post?)

I'm as confident of winning this as I was about dispatching Birmingham in the league cup final, what could possibly go wrong :barscarf:

I reckon we've been stitched up by the media with that pic tbh. The media haven't mentioned the fact that Hull will have done all the same things to prepare for the possibility of a win. You can't just turn up and fill the streets with thousands of fans the next day without prep. Both teams will have contacted local police, councils, road authorities, rented buses etc - just in case. But the media love to go with "cocky disrespectful Arsenal".

I actually think the 56 minute plan is a nice touch but I imagine it will be up to individuals to chose.

Regarding the picture - as DB says both clubs will have had to have made contingency plans for if they win and I think it's a nothing story.

Finally can I just say good luck to all of you who have managed to get hold of tickets. Here's to an Arsenal win and a fantastic day to all of you. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I'm confident we will blow hull away but I'm just saying this here. Out in the real world I'm a little more cautious, I don't want to make the same mistake as many of my Liverpool mates

Can't fucking wait for this, going to make up for being too young to get ruined at any of my 5 previous cup finals :barscarf:

If we win there will be confusion, jubilation and semen. So yes Rodders, very much popping the cherry

regardless of the result I have missed these kind of weeks - 9 years is too long without a cup final appearance for the Arsenal. ok we had the Carling Cup final but the FA Cup to be honest is much much bigger.

im buzzing for the match tomorrow far more than any other game we have had in recent years.
just goes to show that the top 4 trophy really is a load of over hyped shit. come on the Gunners! :barscarf:

I hate when 2 players lift a trophy which is what we'll get tomorrow with Arteta and Vermaelen I presume.

I feel sick. I just wanna know either way.

Also, this is a good article; http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... beast.html
Lurking, though, is the fear that beating Hull in the final of the third most important competition will persuade the board that nothing needs to change and that Wenger can go on writing his own manifesto forever.
