[POLL] Where are you watching final? /Alternative Venues

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Tollington isn't, but I'm sure it'll be packed by 1pm.

Being a lowly Red member, there was no chance of me getting a ticket, so will be watching with my dad and brother (both Gooners).

You don't need a ticket for the Eaglet either

I haven't decided yet. It's either the house or the pub

I am 45 and will easily get into double figures on saturday, starting at 12 noon, drinking in the ground and afterwards.

What's the big deal about getting to a pub early because you will be plastered by 5pm, thats the idea! Have a hearty brekkie, get there for lunchtime and raise a beer for the Arsenal. Even if its too early you can get to a good pub, reserve your spot and drink peckham spring until 1-30/2pm !
45 and a piss wreck! I knew we had to have something in common!! :-)

Up early (well I won't be able to sleep anyway) down the local Greasy Joe for a full English Fry Up....have a wander then meet up with some local Gooners at the Walkabout (30ft screen) then start on the Black Stouts and gradually get the nerves in order before kick off....Then get hammered regardless of result - if we win lots of laughter & jostling & singing - go for a ruby and keep on drinking till the sun comes up and get the Sunday morning papers on my way home - if we don't win - head for home straight after the game finish off my tequila and hide away with my hangover & the shakes...miss Sunday & Monday out completely.

mcdowell42 wrote:Not alot of gooners im my home town,so atm dont know where i will watch it.1 pub here in town has,2 gooners working in it,so might head there..have to admit would make a change to watch a cup final sober, and actually remember the match lol.2001 final was in pub at 11 am still there at 11pm crying my eyes out ,my mother holding my hand and my wife to be at the time (and now my ex wife) working behind the bar thinking why am i marrying tht twat lol.took her 12 yrs to find out.

1998 final i travelled to london for the weekend with no ticket and watched it in quinns pub in camden, got drunk got seperated from my cousins and aunt, eventually ended up down at highbury eating pork balls singing sit down if you hate tottenham with 100s of other gooners. Best craic ive ever had.

Brian Whelehan is a Gooner so surely his pub will have a few Gooners in there for the game ??

Personally I shall be watching the game at home with my two sons - in the past when I went to the pub to watch the games we nearly always lost, so nowadays I refuse to go to the pub to watch any Arsenal game. I'm not great company watching our games on tv although I'm not as bad as I used to be - nowadays, due to my depression of life under wenker, I mostly react with apathy when things aren't going well. I still have real displays of anger/emotion when watching the games but back in the day I would be going mental at the tv

Im same augie i get loud annoyed angry and with a few pints tht gets worse,my language gets very industrial, and there is always at least 1 *word censored* who does their best to wind me up,will leave it late to decide.

No pubs at all here! Got a few bars within 20-25 mins of me but I would have to drive so I'm going to enjoy a very sunny day, 26 degrees today, and then settle down with plenty of ice cold Guinness and some Sol's to watch it at home via the internet!! :barscarf:
