Anyone any recommendations for pubs to watch the FA Cup final around the Arsenal area. I know the obvious venues such as the Gunners but I expect this t be beyond ridiculously busy. Anyone know if pubs are charging for entry?
Any recommendations would be appreciated, like wise if you fancy saying hellp and putting a face to a name.
Rob.

In fairness to Rob - he's the tech guy that keeps this place running, so he deserves a vanity thread! Especially on FA Cup day!

Re: FA Cup Final - Pubs around Arsenal
We came back to Arsenal after the game...and have to say that we were a little (just a little!) jealous...
The Auld Triangle had run out of lager...draft and bottled. The chandeliers were just about hanging from the ceiling, and there were beer stains on the TV... The woman behind the bar said it had been brilliant! On the walk from there to the Grove we kept having conversations with people who could hardly stand... There were police vans near the Supporters Club, but they were mainly administering first aid to those who had fallen... Took pictures next to the DB statue! Then walked past a packed Tollington...FFS, had those guys been in there all day???
Every bench in the park next to the Sobel sports centre was taken by gooners sleeping it off...maybe waiting for the parade??
And once on Seven Sisters Road we even bumped into a group of celebrating...Atletico fans!
I think though that the highlight of that little jaunt was seeing how much winning the cup meant to the ordinary folk who live around the ground, but who might never get the chance to actually go inside. Small groups of Algerians, Somalis, Turks...all wearing something red & white... A family (possibly from Ghana or Nigeria) with their grandmother in tow, also about to have their picture taken near Dennis...! It brought home to me that even though I think that Arsenal is MY club, it's so much more than that. It's a real part of Islington. A real community asset.
Anyway, hope everyone who went to the parade today had a great time. Looked far more than the predicted 250,000 there from the pictures and video that I saw...!!!
