As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
The war chest has been in The Vault gathering dust and cobwebs for a few years sadly. It may get noticed when the FA trophy goes in there, but no ones stumbled over it yet after storing away the 4th place VT annually.
Wouldnt mind them all though BUT as Rodders and Steve O are nursing groinovers....
sanchez is not coming
rakitic is not coming
jherson vergara is not coming.
Depression after a 3rd division French farmer is signed on a free however is coming
Is flappy gone yet? I dont ever want to see that useless *word censored* in an Arsenal shirt again, should have saved the first one, then did his best to take the game to penalties, useless wanker

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.... You're so right though !!!
If Sczesny was there, he'd have at least tried to punch the ball.... or some Hull c*nt
However, on a more serious note, the WORST possible transfer target I've had to read in the past few days goes to :
Rio 'Sicknote' Ferdinand to AFC
As if Sivestre wasn't bad enough... I think my avatar better explains how I feel about that
tbh I don't think Chesney would have done much better with either of Hull's goals. Pod and Mert were at fault for the first one by just wandering off and the second one? Point blank. It either hits the keeper or it goes in but he did the right thing in trying to make himself big for the second shot.
Have to admit though he nearly fucked us with that charge out near the end but at least he committed fully and didn't get half way out and freeze.
His save late on low to his right was quality as he saw it late.
His performance was a mixed bag for me.
I still maintain Chesney would have turned up with that stupid cocky grin on his mush and dropped a clanger and lost us the game. Just like the last final he played in.

I thought Flappy should have pushed it out of play for the 2nd. I also thought Caz should have made a better challenge for the 1st goal but then he is only 5ft 6.

I'd say you are right on the first one, but no guarantee that Chesney would have done better, which is my overall point. I think Flappy did ok, no glaring howlers, made one great save, and didn't lose us the final the way Chesney did against Brum. Still not good enough for Arsenal though.
Holding the save at the end really took the pressure of but it was a fairly tame effort from quite a distance, "great save" is a bit of a stretch for me.
First goal no chance. For the second he had ages to get to the header which was not point blank, he did have some ground to cover but he should have got there. Follow up he could only try and make himself big but this was pretty hard seeing as he was lying behind the line.
It's bad enough if a keeper comes out of his box and gets rounded once a season - he's done it 3 times in 3 Wembley appearances and although the initial mistake was BFG's he was incredibly fortunate. He also then dropped a late cross under no pressure, although luckily at his own feet.
We got away with it big time, might have been no guarantee Szczesny woud have done better but that was miles below the typical level of performance Szczesny has been putting in this season. Again Fabianski had relatively little to do bar the goals and yet again we are talking about how he 'got away with it'.
