I agree with you 100% ..... right now Cesc is a luxury we can't afford plus like you said we have too many players who can play in his role : Wilshere, OX, Ozil , Rosicky AND Ramsey.

If they have 35M to blow on a single player , they should go all out for a top class striker or DM

Often thought TV might be a useful DM ? No more tippy tappers please - brute of a proper goal scoring centre forward, a real hard fucker if not TV as a DM ....both ideally will some real pace....and any tough tackling pacey left back who is not either injury prone or useless.......oh, and a manager with a winners mentality would be quite nice too!

I want him to be tried as a DM, but part of that was me feeling sorry for him.

I'm constantly amazed on here that people continually moan about the squad being full of cheaper alternatives and kids and there is someone advocating buying a cheaper, younger alternative!

It just doesn't figure. Cesc is a proven player with a good amount of his career ahead of him. He would be accepted into the team immediately, wouldn't need to acclimatise and would add such much needed quality and strength into our midfield.
It's a no-brainer for me....if we can get him back then lets do so!

No Özil is going nowhere. He decided to join us at a time when we were seen as a joke to the football world and with him we won our first trophy in moons. Fabregas left us for greener pastures. Why swap the best number 10 in the world for a guy who thought he was too good for us? Cesc can get fucked.

Time for people to get over Cesc, he's gone, he's moved on and so have we. We have Ramsey, Jack, Özil and Cazorla playing in the positions he likes to play in and it's those guys who ended our barren run, not Cesc who decided not to tough it out with us and jumped ship.

At the age of 18 Cesc showed more effort than Ozil. I think Ozil will get better, but what if he doesn't. We know Cesc can work here but the jury is still out on Ozil and next season could make or break him. If we could get away with doing a deal as I've stated, what's the problem. The club can save face by saying we bought a big name player we won a trophy.

He didn't leave us just for a bigger club, he said all the time he was here that he would go back home. When he left we were failing to do anything but b*tch slap the tiny totts for 4th every season. We were winning f**k all and selling our best players, why the f*ck would anyone stay for that.

And that is the bottom line - people can talk about ozil or cazorla or whoever, being the best in the world in their position but that doesn't mean that their game is suitable to enlish football and nor does it mean that they are compatible to our requirements. We know that cesc can and would be a success at AFC and in England and that is why so many fans are worried about the prospect of him joining the manc filth - he would be a huge upgrade on every midfielder they currently have, plus he would bring a will to win that they currently don't have in their ranks.

I find it hugely amusing when some fans tell us to "get over" the fact that cesc is no longer with us and then those fans go into a rant about him walking out on us to go back to his boyhood club......maybe ye should get over your feelings of him "jumping ship". If he left us to join the best team in the world (rather than seeing it as his boyhood club) then I don't really give a fcuk - it was a career decision and every single footballer in the world would love to have played for that barca side. His decision to join what was probably the best club side in history, certainly made more sense than henry joining barca in 2007

Right now I believe the chances of me signing for AFC are higher than the chance of cesc re-joining us so I am not for one second buying into this bullshit. That being said, there isn't a player currently on our books that I wouldn't swap for him and I would absolutely rip up our gameplan (and I use that term loosely of course ) to build a team around cesc and his purchase would certainly be a better move than spunking £15m+ on some French winger who has zero experience at a top club, zero experience in the champs league and a sum total of 68 minutes of international football

Just not for me he wanted to leave and he should stay in sunny spain.. Also history in majority cases players who go back to there old clubs just don't live up to the prodigal son makes a return for me ..
