Christ, I had actually forgotten the other usage of the term "punt" tbh...
I'll add punts to the list that includes horses running through council estates, toothless simpletons and badly tarmacked drivers (in this country)

Surprised Italy aren't on there, they usually do well in the Americas, the heat will suit their slower style of play.
Don't fancy Spain at all and can see them going the same way as France did in 2002, in a tricky group with Holland and Chile who ran them very close last time.

Should be a real treat, especially for my friends south of the border, as they didn’t have television when England won their only ever major trophy. As for being bitter not in the slightest, the World Cup wouldn’t be the same without an Ingerland exit, it’s always my favourite part. :barscarf:

I went with Chile. What I have seen of them, they look mighty impressive. Lots of energy and they do not allow you to play.

50 to 53 to 1 - I am going to seriously think about taking a flutter on that...;-)

Who the hell voted for England, watching them now and they are dire. The usual pedestrian sh*te.

Henderson is a sideways merchant, Gerrard keeps giving the ball away with pointless Hollywood passes, granny shagger is either not ft or he can't be arsed.

f they want to at least be exciting then pick a better team in front of the back 4 and don't pick Johnson he is a terrible RB.

My team if I was Hodgson

Hart,Milner,Cahill,Jagielka,Shaw,Henderson,Wilshere,Lallana,Barkley,Sterling/The Ox, Sturridge

You would score a shed load of goals

I picked Germany for the trophy

Rooney - subbed off after 65 minutes, no shots on goal, no assists.

did you see the state of him, what was the temp at Wembley ? - 55F.

in Brazil it will be in the 85F or higher.

England's Talisman :banghead:

Exactly , if he isn't fit then don't take him and if he can't be arsed then drop him, Barkley would be better in the withdrawn role.
