[POLL] Kim Kallstrom

Post by Kallstrom29 »

Hello all,

First time post, long time reader. Now that Wenger has signed for another 3 years I was wondering whether people are super excited about the stories linking us with signing Kim Kallstrom again

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... om-3614957

Arsene knows best. After this glorious FA Cup win we will build momentum and have years of success ahead of us. Sure, we got spanked in every game against the big teams, sure Wenger has never been Mourinho in a match, sure he chose to play Sanogo for our biggest match of the season, sure he decided to sign an injured Kallstrom on loan when we were top of the league and a striker was needed. In fact, a striker has been needed for 3 seasons now. Sure he has been selling our best players and not replacing them with quality, Sure he has given highly paid contracts to players like Denilson, bendtner for NINE years, Djorou, santos etc... Sure he has refused to pay high wages to top stars until recently and instead ran some communist salary system but surely he is a genius and we will build momentum! Because we scrapped through against wigan, showed great character against Hull (against mourinho the final would have been over) and had a fortunate draw so we will build momentum and I'll see you all in Berlin next year! :barscarf:

I had to post as all this talk about FA Cup Champions (never heard that before until this win - it's Winners not Champions!) has been blown out of proportion and meant Wenger can continue unchecked for another 3 years. He gets paid £8m a year, Jurgen Klopp gets £1.5m a year! Is it not time to give Klopp a ten year contract and say "you be the new wenger"?

Rant over. I'm a season ticket holder and actually do hope we sign Kallatrom again (he seemed decent plus good comedy value now that bendtner has gone) and if wenger spends some cash finally then maybe we will challenge but no more french division 2 prospects please... :rubchin: your legacy is on the line Wenger fans. Now is the time to deliver and make use of the cash pile :cussing:

ATID pity you didn't read long enough to realise he was joking

No fucking way for me. Just doesn't bring anything to the squad imo, we have a plethora of CMs already. I'm not convinced he was ever that good and he's past his best now. After dossing round in Russia and having spent so long out injured now I don't think he has the fitness for the league. As for his experience - plenty of good it did us against Swansea at home. He came on with us rocking and instead of helping us close out the game he just tried to ping Hollywood Steven Gerrard passes (none of which came off) and then stood and watched along with Flamini as Britton sauntered through.

The Kallstrom loan sums Wenger up in the transfer market. Obviously identified that we needed a player, but took the half-hearted option and signed an injured past-it player because he was cheap.

Who he signs will really depend on if he spends most of the money on Fabregas IMO, if he does get him than I expect to see a few free transfers like Kalstrom, Lescott and dare I say it Barry coming in to save him spending.

I know what you mean about the Hollywood passes but we were woeful against Swansea and he brought some energy. Against West Ham he was bright in what was an awful match. Agreed he should be nowhere near the first 11 or first 15 but I'd rather see him on the bench than Hector Bellerin (no offence to the lad) as he might do something and has a wealth of experience plus he is comedy value gold! :-P

Yes.

We do not need him, we have lots of players in that position.
Our priorities are elsewhere.

But as a cheap all round midfielder he is fine to have in the squad on a one or two year deal.

It's a NO ! from me.

There are quite a few youngsters straining at the leash waiting for a chance to show their worth (or lack of!?) - and they're cheaper.

Had to think about this one as long as I did the Poll 'Would you like to drag your cock through a bundle of razor wire?"

Fuck it, sign the bastard up. I got quite accustomed to putting umlauts over everything and, seeing as Özil's shit, we might as well keep Källström. I mean, the fucker's got TWO letters with umlauts in his name. Fisheye's only got one!
