Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Morata's too Giroud-like to make him a good option for us.
If we're going to raid Madrid for one of their forwards we should go for Jesé. He's quick, two-footed, scores and makes goals and can play in any of the attacking positions.
I know. He's not coming.

Jesé is the reason Morata is potentially leaving. Madrid certainly won't be selling him in a hurry.GranadaJoe wrote:Morata's too Giroud-like to make him a good option for us.

He's young, he's french, he's FREE! This will be our glorious new striker. Although, if he's so good as they say, wouldn't that "kill" Sanogo?

mate, if you keep this up you're gonna give yourself some serious concussion.Ed Hunter The Gooner wrote:Apparently we are going to miss the possibility on Morata too as Real and Juve are preparing a swap deal between Morata and Vidal... Yes when I saw that article online I thought "Now that is an Arsenal/Arsene type of signing"p206ab wrote:Bahebeck is coming!mcdowell42 wrote:Arsenal are eyeing up 21-year-old Paris St Germain striker Jean-Christophe Bahebeck who is available on a free transfer - Daily Mail

Sounds like the perfect Wenger signing Free and French.
And if it's true that Cesc is about to sign for the chavscum - Then it is Un-Forgiveable. Just when I think Wenger Cannot Possibly get worse - the *word censored* goes and proves me Wrong!.
No wonder he is becoming "Hated" by Gooners.

Maybe I'm a bit desperate that we sign somebody... anybody

I had this child's belief last summer that we're going to spend big and what that summer turned out to be was a miserable disappointment - apart from Özil of course. I don't have that belief anymore

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
As much as I don't want to see Cesc sign for someone else in the prem league, we would have to sell someone to get him
So who shall that be
Ozil
Cazorla
Rambo
Jack
As he can play in any of those positions.
If we get what we need then I'll live with it but if we don't I still don't see what bringing Cesc back to our already middle heavy team will achieve.

He's also currently out with a long term cruciate injury so perfect for us.GranadaJoe wrote: If we're going to raid Madrid for one of their forwards we should go for Jesé. He's quick, two-footed, scores and makes goals and can play in any of the attacking positions.
Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Vidal has won the league 3 times back to back. He's probably more forward minded than Matic but he pi**es all over him and Martinez. He would move us up about 3 notches.augie wrote:Not that I have seen enough of the kid to make a definitive assessment, but any time I have seen morata lately he hasn't impressed at all. To me he appears to lack pace and he could get away with that in the English game if he had physical presence, but he certainly doesn't have that.
Isnt the vidal guy from juve one of the best DMs playing in Europe ? Maybe I am mixing him up with another player but I thought that a couple of seasons ago every top club in Europe wanted himMaybe we should try signing him from juve if he is on the market
We have as much chance of getting him as Stevie Mee has of getting done for GBH in a court on Merseyside.

3 goals on loan at Troyes in 27 games
1 goal on loan at Valenciennes in 13 games
No doubt there's a number of sub appearances within that lot but that in itself begs a question.
Living the dream once more !

PSG are hardly in need of the annual Wenger Bonus Bingo prize either

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
I'm not paying any attention to any of the media stories at the mo'. Reckon Our Great Leader is off somewhere on holiday, having trousered the first of many instalments of the £8m. Then he'll be off on his TF1 stating-the-bleeding-obvious junket for a month in the Brazilian sunshine, then mid July he'll start scratching around indecisively to see who's left that he can underbid on.
As for Cesc to Chelsea - this would be a surprise unless he has no other options. Mourinho is surely loathed by all Catalans/Barca players after his antics at RM, especially in light of the tragic death of Vilanova. If Cesc has a good World Cup, Enrique will possibly decide to keep him. Xabi is now 34 (?) and can't go on forever.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
On a slightly related note(Barca/Cesc), Barca have been fined another 9million euros and the ex-President of Santos has stated that to help get Neymar onto Barca's books , Barca sanctioned bankrolling Neymar's father having an orgy.
If a lie, If I were Barca I'd see hm in court. If true than surely that has to be seen as a criminal act and would put the entire board at least and definitely Sandro Rossell in the firing line.

Mourinho and Cesc don't get on at all. My guess is the story was leaked by someone with ties to Barca trying to motivate us to act.Sam59 wrote:I'm not paying any attention to any of the media stories at the mo'.
