that time we had boca juniors and new york red bull it was fucking shite! talking about fans having a quiet drink in the sun while not giving a fuck what happens on the pitch it looks like the players were doing the same.

Benfica are a very good side who play good football. Monaco are financially doped up to their eyeballs and therefore have some very good players. Only Valencia are a bit of an also-ran but at least they come from a proper league and tbh I could easily see us losing to them, we lost to the fucking New York Red Bulls after all.
Should be some decent games of football in there.

Re: The Emirates Cup 2014
The teams they've lined up this year definitely make it potentially more interesting. The problem will be that a prolonged rest will be given to our internationals who were on World Cup duty, which will mean they will either not feature at all or will play the odd 20-30 mins. I expect us to field a really young side, especially on the first day. Would think the likes of Akpom, Sanogo, Zelalem etc will feature

It amazes me why people bother to complain about the Emirates Cup. If you dont like it, dont go, simple.
I for one think its a very good chance to be able to chill out and watch the arsenal with a beer and me old man. Hopefully with the line up this year there will be some good football played and with the ticket prices being what they are it'd be rude not to attend

Is "prolonged rest" the new term for "medical treatment"?SteveO 35 wrote:The teams they've lined up this year definitely make it potentially more interesting.
