The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

When hes pulling his weight and can be arsed hes awesome but hes bound to be a massive disruption to the squad which has seemingly been the most harmonious weve had for a good few years.

What would happen to his Bentley as well in the streets of London
Actually I'd like to see AW undergo some kind of mental aberration on the last day of the transfer window and bring Him and Barton to the club...now THAT would be interesting - hateful and embarrassing yes, but très intéressant

What can I do, I'm always as excited about possible transfers as a teenager boy on front of the pussy the first time :D

But of course as an Arsenal fan, you should know what to except :barscarf:
But as that same teenager you know that first time is always a complete let down..................or was that just me...
YUP! it sure was Just YOU!.

disappointing about Costa - Simeone has lost his top two, it will be interesting to see who he buys and how they do next year.

I wonder when our £30 million striker will be arriving? :rubchin:
How depressing....rival clubs getting the job done early......and Arsenal sitting on it hoping for the best....how depressing
And 2 players involved at the World Cup in Lambert and Costa. Bet Chelsea get all their business tied up in the next week including Koke.

Haven't they heard that it is very quiet in World Cup year

By the time Wenger wakes from his annual Summer hibernation Aurier will be worth £17m

I dont know why anyone is surprised, he will hang it out until the last week trying to get a bargin, meanwhile all his targets will be elsewhere and he will settle for option C, D and E of we are lucky.

God we get this every year, it's the dithering Wenger affect. :banghead:
Yes i know thats what they called Moyes, but Wenger has been doing this a lot longer.
And by the time the world cup is over, the price of any good international will go up?
And Arsene won't pay the asking price, Ozil was a panic buy to keep us happy after Villa game.

Ramsey was our best player last season until he got injured, and our form dipped because of the injured Aaron.

Higgy's price will rocket when he wins the Golden Boot! (sneaky bet ;) )

Still nobody does any business before the World Cup!

Well in that case maybe Wenger will panic buy Di Maria or someone of that ilk if we lose our first game of the new season.

I still maintain Wenger had nothing to do with Ozil, Gazidis knew what he was up against and they did the deal and basically told wenger your getting him and thats it!!! Pity they dont take that attitude all the time with him!!

Anyone else getting depressed yet?

No sign of anyone, even SteveO has run out of anyone coming cos no one is.

If its a last day trolley dash for the sell by stuff I will be well fed up, especially as those with 30 years or less of footy knows full well we need a fair few players to make some sort of title challenge

Cant we just lock the thread and reopen it on the last day of the window. Watch Natalie, toss off while our transfer team doss off for the WC then doss till the last day as usual. :rubchin:

And if anyone starts on the no strikers available line they will be toast

Just watching our potential new right back Hunchback Milner getting dragged around like a caveman's wife against Ecuador. Still as long as a full back can throw in the odd cross who cares eh?
