Why wouldn't we want England's Euro 2016 keeper?augie wrote:Below average al has been released by Watford and is now considering retirement.......is anybody else worried that le cock might try and sign him as back up to Chesney ? Even more worringly they've signed Gomes in his place, are they running a football club or a circus?

Well Coco the clown has been replaced by hilarious Huerelho, so your guess is as good as mine.
Glad we've all given up crying over Cesc the blue and are back on message with our transfer rumour thread.

Thank you! Your Sir are absolutely right and all other opinions I just don't get.augie wrote:TH14 pushed for a transfer to barca for the whole 2005/2006 season and then did a U-turn after the champs league final cos of some sort of feeling of injusticeA few months into the following season he decided that he had made a mistake staying with us and then spent the remainder of that season organising the transfer to barca. So despite spending a season and a half trying to get a transfer to barca, the vast majority of Gooners practically wanked themselves to death when he re-joined us as a 35 YEAR OLD
Contrast that to the reaction that cesc is getting now from many Gooners - he left us to return to his boyhood club and to play in what is probably the best club side ever, but now he is regarded as a judas despite the fact that he wants to return to us again in what is HIS PEAK YEARS
We would not be signing a player for sentimental reasons......we would be signing one of THE best midfielders in the world and would be getting the peak years of his career - it should be a no brainer even ignoring the threat of him joining the chavs

Most Arsenal fans are desperate for Cesc to return (for sentimental reasons more than anything) and I can guarantee even the naysayers would eventually be ecstatic to see him in an Arsenal shirt again - even if they won't admit it. Nostalgia is a powerful emotion.
(Though, it seems he won't be returning due to severe ineptitude on Wenger's part).

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Sentimental reasons yes, but not only. Cesc would bring depth to the squad and he is a world class ffs! Fuck Wenger's loyalty to his players, he should show door to the likes of Arteta or Rosicky or Cazorla right on that minute he's informed that Cesc is available.VAVAVOOM 14 wrote:I don't agree.augie wrote:TH14 pushed for a transfer to barca for the whole 2005/2006 season and then did a U-turn after the champs league final cos of some sort of feeling of injusticeA few months into the following season he decided that he had made a mistake staying with us and then spent the remainder of that season organising the transfer to barca. Rosicky is given a new contract at an age of 33. Then we turn our back to player like Cesc. What the fuck is this? I can guarantee that if this summer turns out to be as shit as summers before this regarding transfers and we didn't take Cesc if we had an opportunity to do so, there will be no limits for my anger and hate towards Wenger.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Bang on. I don't think re-signing Cesc should be anywhere near our priority (we need a new RB, CH, LB, proper first striker and GK more than another passing midfielder tbh) but I would be thrilled the moment I saw him slot that first goal for us. The same as I was when THBW14 slotted that one against Leeds in the cup. I think most Gooners would love to see him back (some secretly) regardless.VAVAVOOM 14 wrote:I don't agree.augie wrote:TH14 pushed for a transfer to barca for the whole 2005/2006 season and then did a U-turn after the champs league final cos of some sort of feeling of injusticeA few months into the following season he decided that he had made a mistake staying with us and then spent the remainder of that season organising the transfer to barca. Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Priority no. Still good business, adding a world class player into the squad if possible is always good business. I can't see money spent on Cesc making any harm to our real priorities as we probably won't spend over 20m on one single player. Of course, nobody knows for fact if our transfer budget was reported 100m or 30m...DB10GOONER wrote:Bang on. Agree with the majority that there is more important places to fill on the pitch than what cesc would bring, however any fan on here or any other forum that thinks bringing back cesc would be a mistake is off there fucking rocker

Metro has some stories to tell, lot of bullshit probably but still good entertainment... Arsenal are looking into possibility to bring Casillas to Emirates...

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
I was initially very opposed to re-signing Cesc as thought we need reinforcing elsewhere and tightwad won't do it if he signs Cesc.
However I've seen the light since. Gazidis' speech spoke of financial constraints (now that a decent chunk of the money's gone to Tightwad's wallet). Tightwad isn't going to sign anyone good, let alone World Class and first choice for a world champion side like Spain. Don't care how many attacking midfielders we've already got, one that knows the club backwards AND scores goals, and wants to come, is going to be a far better signing than some of the other mediocrities that Wenger will have lined up. Cesc can even play up front (sort of). Chelsea don't sign a lot of bad players. If Mourinho wants him, let's go grab him from under their noses.

Another story from Metro... Arsenal are keeping close eye on Lorenzo Signia from Napoli.

To me it looks that this guy is a attacking midfielder...

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
And before some dizzy bitch compares Cesc's wrangling a move to RVJC wrangling a move, and comes out with the classic "yeah but you hate RVJC and treat Cesc like he did no wrong" can I just say go fuck yourself. RVJC owed us more than any player in our history. The perma-crocked crunt delivered fuck all for 7 seasons whilst we made him rich. Cesc gave everything in our jersey for year after year and had to do it often playing with Uber-Shit like Mong, LegoHead, Hleb, Vela etc etc etc...
