So what do you think we should play against the Royals? Full strength? Hey Second place and automatic Champions League is well in grasp and the league isn't mathmatically impossible? Or do we give some of the players a well earned rest?!
Until the Flanimal was ruled out I was almost certinaly going to offer Cesc a rest, now it seems we need something in centre mid, however, I wouldn't mind seeing:
Lehmann (Prove we should keep him on as #1 next year)
Eboue
Senderos
Gallas
Clichy
Theo
Gilberto (make him captain for last few games then ship him out)
Diaby (presume he's back from suspension now)
Hleb
Bendtner (last change to prove yourself son)
RvP
Bench:
Adebayor
Denilson (if still alive?) if not Song
Toure
Traore
Fabianski

As much as i hate the guy, its not hard to hide the fact that he is a lot better as a right back. As decent a back up as anyone is sopose.Goonanana wrote:Toure can barely stand up! Give the guy a rest! Plus (and i risk getting a lot of flack here) if Eboue can prove he can play at right back he'd be a useful SQUAD player next year as can just about to rb and rw

yeah...that bloody Wenger never gives young players a chance!nuttygoonerpaul wrote:i would put in Nacer Barazite he has been bang the goals in , but mr wenger wont do that ..

see what you're saying though..and considering he hasn't featured much in the Carling Cup, then I guess an outing in a Premier League game is a tad doubtful.

4-2-3-1 formation
I know… unrealistic to expect Wenger to pick this formation but hey… the question was what team would I select so here goes:
Lehmann
Eboue
Song (Toure looks dead on his feet)
Gallas
Traore (Clichy needs a rest maybe even more than Kolo, especially considering he presumably wont get much of one during the summer)
Diaby (we need to play the guy in his natural position and see just how good he is)
Gilberto (more suited to playing in games where we’re likely to be defending as much as attacking - ie vs. Man’Ure etc - but Cesc needs a break for the same reasons as Clichy)
Walcott (deserves a run of games in the starting line-up from now until the end of the season)
Hleb
RVP
Bendtner (I don’t hate the guy as much as some people seem to but we need to know just how viable a option he is/isn’t for next season).
subs:
Adebayor
Denilson (played less than a hour for the reserves in his comeback game so might not be match fit yet)
Cesc (only to come on if things are going horribly wrong)
Senderos
Almunia

IF CHELSEA LOSE TONIGHT WE CAN STILL GRAB 2ND PLACE AND THUS AVOID THE NEED FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. WE ALSO STILL NEED POINTS TO FINISH ABOVE LIVERPOOL. SO WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU PUT THAT LINE-UP OUT?
SORRY MATEY, BUT IN MY OPINION READING WOULD BE GUARANTEED 3 POINTS AGAINST THAT LOT!!

I See your point IHH - just a team i think AW could put out, and it probably is a guarnteed 3 points sat if putting a strong tam out but somehow i think he will mix and match shall we say! Id Prefer to be confident before the game with the line up and get the 3 points to be honest. Hopefully Theo starts though and gilberto whom i thought had a cracker last week

WELL IF YOU PUT TOURE AT CENTRE HALF, CLICHY LEFT BACK AND TRAORE AHEAD OF HIM, THEN PUT CESC BACK IN THE TEAM OR PLAYED DIABY IN THE MIDDLE, IT MIGHT WIN.
I AGREE THAT WENGER IS LIKELY TO REST A COUPLE OF PLAYERS ON SATURDAY, BUT I DOUBT DENILSON WILL START AS HE HAS ONLY JUST GOT BACK FROM INJURY.
