Re: The Ox injured?
He is an underrated player for England, his pace and directness can really flourish in a 4-4-2 and he generally impresses me whenever I see them.
Will be a fucking nightmare if he's out for months though.

Re: The Ox injured?
So who will direct his care now for the next few weeks- England (Who missed Wilsheres Navicular fracture) or Arsenal - say no more
Poor lad, must be devastating, raring to go spot on form, potential matchwinner, dont know who I would rather be just now, Theo or The Ox.
Whatever, for once I am not sure we can totally blame our medical team

Re: The Ox injured?
Roy Hodgson, the inept fool, plays him for 60+ minutes after he's been out for over a month - in a friendly, no less. Plain incompetence.
Both Walcott and Chamberlain are likely out of the WC; I've now lost all interest in England. Insipid, bland team - at least the y would've injected some pace and directness into the side.
Wilshere played shit, as per usual.

No no no sid - the ox has the ability to be a top quality player as he has pace, a footballing brain and he has ability to do more than just kick a ball past the opposition player and run after it like some jack russell on speed (hint hint wally

Thing that would concern me here is that, IF it is a cruciate injury, that would be two in 10 months - is he going to be prone to cruciate injuries ? Is it a weakness in his knee's ? I really hope not cos personally I am expecting that, in the longer term, he will be a bigger contributor to our team than ramsey (I'm sceptical that ramsey can produce that type of form consistantly in the coming seasons)

What about the *word censored* who fouled/kicked him on purpose - and the useless twat of a ref did NADA!

Re: The Ox injured?
tbh I hope it keeps him out of the WC (sorry pommie mates!!
) but in a purely selfish Arsenal-first kind of way for me.
I just hope it isn't the ACL because a 6 to 12 month lay off will ruin him for next season and possibly the start of the following one.
I agree with augie, of all the "starlets with potential" we've seen come and go, I think the Ox is the one with the most realistic chance of actually developing into the real thing. We saw flashes of it last season - he can drop the shoulder and beat his man with the ball, he has a decent burst and proper pace over 50 - 75 yards too, he has excellent close control with both feet and he is as strong as... well, as an Ox!

Re: The Ox injured?
I think the Ox is a very good player who has the ability to change game at the drop of a hat.
I was gutted when he didn't make the quad for the FA Cup final.
I would like to see him out of the World Cup to fully rest him for next season I really hope it not a serious injury.

Re: The Ox injured?
You'd rather he played 90 minutes against Italy with no games under his belt? Playing in a friendly was exactly what he needed. He got injured - it's what Arsenal players do.VAVAVOOM 14 wrote:Roy Hodgson, the inept fool, plays him for 60+ minutes after he's been out for over a month - in a friendly, no less. Re: The Ox injured?
Just caught Wilshere talking on SSN about Ox getting 24 hour treatment on his injury and access to medical professionals at all times in the build up to the World Cup... He even contrasted this with what it's like at club level... I just don't get why Arsenal would pay the like of Wilshere, Ox, Theo etc £50-£100m per WEEK while they are injured, and yet not give them access to 24 hour treatment if it would reduce their recovery time????
