There are bigger fans of Fabregas out there than me but if he really is available (and at a knock down price) then surely it is a no brainer whether we sign him ?!
I cannot think of a justified reason why we would let this opportunity pass and worst still, let him to go a rival.
But for me it is another example of why Arsenal Wenger is no longer fit to be the Arsenal manager. It increasingly looks like he has his own agendas which are too often not aligned to what is best for the club from a football point of view.
How fucking complicated this is? If you have a chance to recruit world class player, you do it. You don't do it if you had world class player for every single midfield position. We have likes of Arteta, Rosicky Cazorla. Are these guys really the reason we don't sign him? Fuck that, we should offload some of those guys in a blink of an eye to make space for much better player.
To swap Özil to Cesc, how fucking retarded is that? There is enough room in the squad for both of them. Ramsey, Özil and Cesc would be world class midfield back bone for us and we should do absolutely everything to make it happen.

World Class player wants to join you, a player that could only improve your chances of building on a Cup win but due to your stubborn and/or deluded ways, you decide you don't want to.
Genuinely don't get it. Arsene Wenger is an intelligent man and I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't buy him and offload a player or 2 that aren't as good as Cesc. Simple really.
But as we all know, our opinions don't count because we haven't been in football for 30 years. Strange that the majority of fans must not know anything about football because Wenger appears to be the only person who doesn't think that Cesc Fabregas is worth signing.

to be honest I would sign him even if we didn't have any real intention of playing him. Chelsea would be stronger with him, so would the mousers, united and city. This is one of those occasions when you can weaken an opponent whilst giving yourself more depth, and depth is what we lack.
I think without injuries to key players this year we might well have won the league. The fact that we have nobody outside our first 11 is a huge part of what cost us.
Don't get me wrong, Cesc would be a first choice player for me if he returned but by displacing one of our current first choice he would strengthen the squad at the very least.
For that reason alone we have to take this option.
I wonder if there is a fans method of applying significant public pressure to the club.

Dont agree Rob, its either a case of AW being too big to back down, or AW and or Cesc being unable to undo whats been said or AW/ or maybe.. the board refusing to spend the money, personalities or some such.
Cant see its a large or small team thing, some players like to come back to a club others wont/ cant, ifs its AFC or Dunstable Town, same thing.
