World Cup 2014 Squads and Games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I just don't get why Arsenal would pay the like of Wilshere, Ox, Theo etc £50-£100m per WEEK while they are injured, and yet not give them access to 24 hour treatment if it would reduce their recovery time????
I'm not sure it's the same thing. Time isn't a luxury England have - they're in Brazil and the tournament starts this week... and could be over in 2 weeks!

24 hour treatment to rush someone back on the eve of an upcoming tournament isn't necessarily going to get the best results... and neither is it intended too. It's just a quick fix designed to get them on the pitch for a few games.

We've seen Arsenal rush players back too quickly only to see them break down again too often... sometimes time and rest together with carefully structured medical care is the best for the player. Clubs have the time to do this - international teams don't.

How long do we think it'll be before we see the Ox in action for us next season? If Ingerlund manage to bugger his fitness up again my money will be on late October at the earliest

Netherlands striker Robin van Persie may want to stay away from the beach after being hit by a stray kite surfer while strolling on the Rio water front on Monday.

Why is this thread now changed to being about squads and games ? Surely it is a different direction from talking just about ox's fitness ? :?

It seems like Stuart Pearce just won't let it go.

Has had a go at some young players as per and decided to single out Jack Wilshire and not for the first time. Apparently with Glen Johnson being garbage,Stevie Mee constantly giving the ball away, Granny shagger being anonymous in 3 friendlies, Jack is the only one to pick on.

I can't wait till the Forest fans find out just how awful his style of football is....remember when he managed Shitty and they were f**king dire.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but when Pearce was England U21 manager didn't he want Wilshere playing every game for him even when he was half fucking crocked ?

Pearce bottled out of the relegation battle in cloughie's last season - he didn't want any part of the fight to stay up and claimed injury and it was clear to all and sundry back then that he was stabbing old big head in the back :x

Generally I've got a lot of time for Forest and would like to see them back up in the PL......but I'd also like to see Neanderthal Pearce fall on his caveman's club and get the sack
