As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Would always have liked watching brazil and would cheer them on as a neutral, but after tonight I hope they are knocked out ASAP - they dived, they branded the imaginary yellow cards (led by the *word censored* scolari and his troll left back marcelo ) and they won largely on the back of a woefully inept and cowardly referring performance that would see him get a good kicking if it was in a Sunday pub league
Everyone has this romantic view of the brazilians, beautiful proper football, they are up there with the argies, Italians etc with their diving, card waving and bribes. Total injustice & I'll be cheering anyone on who plays against them.

Glad you've woken up and seen beyond the media Brazil wankathon. A team full of cheating scumbags like Dani Alves and Marcelo.
Well done FIFA....the usual substandard ref for match day 1 to ensure a nice soft penalty for the home nation and a bought win
They reckon the 2010 wc suffered massive financial losses by the hosts being knocked out early. That Japanese ref probably earns 50p a year for reffing over there. There must get to a point where there is just too much money involved to ensure a level playing field..

And Alan shearer was a cheating b*stard too - just cos an English player did it, doesn't make it acceptable or any less wrong for a foreigner to do it.
There can be no doubt that the ref played a HUGE part in Brazil's victory last night, but seriously how shit was the Croatian keeper ? The c*nt was woeful on the 1st goal (move your feet quicker you c*nt ), he got both his hands to the second goal and didn't keep it out, but the 3rd goal was the worst of the lot. Oscar effectively toe poked the ball from 25yds out and it still got past the keeper If that guy keeps his place in their team then there is no way they getting out of group in the top 2

He was highly rated about 5 years ago, during Bilic's reign and Croatia's mini dominance in the qualifying rounds.
He's also an ex Spurs player, went on loan a couple of years back and only played one game in the League Cup. The game ended: Tottenham 1-4 Arsenal

I would add FIFA to that Augie, cos if anyone thinks for one minute that refs haven't been told to ensure there are no fuck ups for the host nation, then they are deluded.
Hopefully they will come up against a good side in the next round, then all the cheating and plotting in the world, will hopefully not be enough to see them through.
