THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Well Said Chips...you have said what I think and feel...It's a bit like watching a dear old friend go off the rails and he/she just won't listen to anything you say or anything you try to do for them...even though Everyone can see the problem and how to solve it...as in you can lead a horse to water (Arsene wenger to Common Sense) but due to stubborn, incalcitrance - they refuse to take anything on board as they plummit towards further self-destruction...Unfortunatley they often take others with them.

This is Wenger's problem - he once was a revolutionary - But all such people have their 'moment in the sun' and then fade away - he has faded and jaded, but refuses to see the 'light'.

Sad yes, But ultimately - Foolhardy and beyond anyone else's help. Thing is it is 'we' Gooners who have to suffer. he will be long gone after we are still supporting our beloved Arsenal...that is all that I hang onto - No one (nothing) lasts forever.

<sigh>

Failure to re-sign cesc who would have improved us massivly at the same time weakening chelsea, fucking complete and utter arrogance, the bloke is a fucking arsehole and he can shove his FA cup up his arse, i wont set foot in that stadium next season.

Fuck him while he is in charge
Fuck him while he negotiates his own fucking contract salary whilst at the same time refusing to pay 5k more and losing out on the players
Fuck him whilst he is out in brazil on a jolly getting paid by canal plus as well as arsenal, when he should be doing what other clubs are doing getting in there on first dibs
Fuck him when he gets back from brazil then takes a 2 week fucking holiday whilst everyone else gets stronger
Fuck him when he panicks on deadline day re-signing kim fucking kallstrom.

Anyone thinking we will sign big this transfer window is clutching at straws, fucking deluded beyond beleif. I see no more than 10 mil net spend, the layout on ozil will make sure we dont spend much this summer

Fuck you very much arsene wenger for slowly killing my love for the beautiful game you utter egotistical cretinous C**t

Totally 100 pct agree with this, Wenger is an odious *word censored* who actually makes me sick when I look at him. A greedy, stubborn, smug *word censored* who the only hope I cling onto is that he's eventually hounded out which is what he fucking well deserves!

Expect this sort of conflict on here until AW leaves.
The man is devisive, he has split the support completely, every issue will now turn into a pro/anti Wenger slanging match.
FFS Arteta out, Fabregas in, It was a no brainer.
See how long Obi Mikel lasts now, killing his Chelsea career was never a consideration for Mouhrino, unlike AW who remember turned down Xabi Alonso and others so as not to upset Diaby and Denilson.
I have said this too many times to mention, Wenger's job is to build the strongest Arsenal team possible using the funds at his disposal. Hands up who thinks he does.
Maybe the £5m payout clause swung it in the Chavs favour, after all they put up seat prices to raise an extra couple of million quid.

I think the Wenger critics here, who appear to be in the majority here, should not view this site as representative of Arsenal fans as a whole.
At games, I came across far more Wenger fans than the Wenger out brigade.

Am already buzzing for the season and look forward to getting the WC over and done with, so we can focus on new signings and building on last season's success.

There may be many things to criticise Wenger for.

But being in Brazil is not one of them.

Many of the world's top players gather in one country, as do their agents, journalists and various go-betweens.
Wenger gets a chance to watch the players first hand, as opposed to off a DVD or on TV.

He has access to a smartphone and computer.

Or would people prefer he sit in his living room whilst others network with those close to the action?

I think you'll find that it is a minority with a passionate hatred of Wenger on here. The majority want him gone but have no hatred of him. And there is a minority of posters that want him to stay.

I think you'll also find that the majority on here are under no illusions that in the bigger scheme of Arsenal support we know we are still the minority, but it is a minority that is growing.

But then I'd also add that alot of the pro-Wenger brigade (not all, but alot if social media and the Emirates on match day are anything to go by) are the type of fans that "Love" Arsenal yet also "Would die for Barca!" and turn up late for games, leave early and spend a good chunk of the time in between playing with their phone or taking photos. Y'know - cúnts.

That last bit is only PARTLY in jest!

Absolutely don't agree. Do you honestly think Wenger is out there with ANY intention of signing the best players in the world? He ain't. He will do his business when he returns and when there are only average and shit players available. He should be back in the UK trying to sign the better of those shit and average players, the upper echelon of the chaff, if you will.

Lefty, good to see you back pal. Hope the family are well. Now post some bloody jokes. I'm back in UK and pissed about it.

WENGER OUT, it's your fault my pm 's don't work, or Lefty got four of them. You've got more chance of getting what you are looking for in Lidl than in Brazil you thieving frog.
Quartz, have you been making sherry trifle today, I normally agree with you but not your previous post.

WENGER OUT

Thank you
