As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It seems that we are buying every decent striker in the world

Sounds like he's our man...well he is known as "the Chubby One" - must be feckin' related to Santos
Ha ha! I'd forgotten all about him..bless his lil heart
How did you forget fat Andy, he was a legend in LB. I would call him AW's worst ever signing but that would be unfair on Silvestre and Stepanovs.
I would doubt that when you are a fat f**ker there's anything 'lil' about your heart. A small heart couldn't handle the strain off trying to pump around all that lard.

Costa and cesc will now get a longer rest before joining up with the chavs
On the other hand I think that spain's exit will accelerate movement in the transfer window - their players and club officials will no longer have any distractions from the world cup, and will be available for negotiations, medicals etc much earlier than was expected and I believe that the Spanish league is the one that dictates transfer movements

I thought Caz made an impact when he came on. He should have started really.
Yeah Spain have fallen to our levels of sideways tippy tap - no end product...but you are right Caz was one of the sharper tools on the park tonight...

They could get injured in the final pride game for them - thats the only we hope we have as we can't rely on Wenger bringing anything to the party - let alone a world class signing...
Thomas Vermaelen, the Arsenal captain, has agreed a deal in principle to join Manchester United this summer. United must now try to negotiate a fee with Arsenal after the World Cup finals, but Vermaelen hopes to move to Old Trafford and is preparing to leave the Emirates Stadium.
Vermaelen has one year remaining on his Arsenal contract and the central defender has found himself pushed out of manager Arsène Wenger’s first-choice team by Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.
Arsenal are prepared to offer Vermaelen a new deal, but are aware that he does not want to spend another season acting as backup. Koscielny and Mertesacker have signed long-term contracts with the Gunners in the past three months.
