World Cup 2014 Squads and Games

i think not. he scored a few for Roma and he's doing well - 2 goals and an assist so far. They beat Greece and they are through...

i continue to think that judging by the goals he scores, Wonga totally mismanaged him and killed his confidence.

Take juve out of Serie A and you are left with a league that is on a par with Holland in terms of quality and that is a huge drop from where it used to be :(

Despite SteveO's jokes Wales have never been close enough to a World Cup since I was old enough to watch football for me to be bitter about us not qualifying for one, but the sunny weather, late kick-off and local area being filled with students drinking after getting their degree results is making me pine like never before.

England have kept the ball well, Rooney came very close twice although from open play England haven't threatened much. Uruguay have looked generally unimpressive but Cavani and Suarez has scary potential and all it takes is one piece of brilliance as their goal showed. Typically clever run, deft cross but Jagielka was flat-footed and gave Suarez a yard too much - at this level that yard is the difference between good enough and not.

I thought England reacted poorly after going behind for the second time against Italy and ran out of steam attacking-wise. Here they have half-time to plan and readjust and the likes of Welbeck and Sterling don't appear to have gotten through anywhere near as much work as on Saturday, so should have a bit more in the tank although neither has done much.

Infuriating constant disruptive fouling from Uruguay without accumulating yellows, unless I'm mistaken the centre-back who was booked for the early handball was the one that cynically body-checked Sturridge and the ref didn't even think about sending him off.

I think that it is a fairly even game - the pressure on both teams is there for all to see and everyone is being extra cautious for fear of making a costly mistake. Ironically conceding just before half time might help engerland - the best part of their team is attacking and they now need to do exactly that and cast of the shackles

Gerrard and Rooney are having a terrible game,Sturridge,Welbeck and Sterling have all dived and gotten away with it.

Still fancy them to knick 2 goals, but they will be out next round

As much as I could care less whether or not England win, I'm convinced the ref's got a bet on a Uruguay win, either that or he's being paid off by a dodgy Asian betting syndicate.

That was the cue for Granny Shagger to score his 1st ever WC goal.
