As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Bull shit!
2 different kind of players. Oh, and to add, with all the mids we have, I would want back Cesc at the Emirates because I think he is better than ALL the mids we have [Yea, I will hear about Oz11 and Aaron...] but I am not sure I would want Mata in our team.
See ! All you cynics thinking that There's Only One was just swanning around in Brazil working for French TV.
He's been working day and night tirelessly trying to sign every player in the world and now has a crucial meeting with Balotelli's agent........
......presumably to find out if he also represents any cheap French shit whose contracts might be expiring
I would take him in a heart beat, I'm that desperate for top transfer... Compared to Costa deal, this would still probably be more success secured transfer. Mario has PL experience, he is big and fucking strong and most of all, he can score shit loads of goals.
Of course, this can end in tears because of his mad mentality, but I think it's still worth the risk...

Actually Ed, thinking about it you may have something there....I mean, we have a Basket case in charge and so if another basket case joins us as the 'main man' up front...it will either be a blazing success or end up in complete failure... something we Gooners have become used to these past 9 seasons...allowing of course for the slight 'hiccup' of the FA cup win.... so, yeah! f.uck it bring it on...
Wenger + Mario = Prem Title OR Un-mitigated fucking disaster ..Place yer bets! Place yer bets!

Really
Think he has been arrested for this twice and on second occasion it went to trial but she pissed about on the witness stand, gave a completely different account and wouldn't answer questions properly. So the magistrates directed a not guilty verdict.
So what Augie should have done is prefixed wife beater with alleged, like Abramowich alleged crook, ukip alleged bunch of xenophobic racist scum. You get the idea

Do not agree.
Mata is a lightweight attacking midfielder, good passer and creative though, and gets goals.
Cesc is also a good passer and scorer but physically tougher and can tackle, can play central midfield, attacking midfield or even as striker.
He speaks English, knows London and knows the league like the back of his hand.
TBF Cesc excelled here when the team was built to make him tick, it wasn't at Barcelona and it all went pear shaped, can you see Chelsea being built around him or do you see him having to fit into a team?
Quality player no doubt but he has shown himself to be a bit of a spoilt brat if things dont suit him, I also think the Chelsea supporters will see him as a playing versiom of Benitez, theres too much history for that move to go as it should, a few bad results or poor performances and they could easily turn on him.
I see him slotting in very nicely and playing well in central midfield and as a number 10.
I truly believe his passing style with a bit of bite and knowledge of organisation and team shape suits their style well.
@Augie
