The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

and so it begins......again.

a coach with short track record, gets given loads of cash or not, a 5 year contract and a year to succeed.

a year to beat three of Rodgers, Mourinho, Pellegrini, Van Gaal and even Martinez who has proved himself now at two clubs...

he might be a good coach, a diamond in the rough, but he's very very unlikely to get 4th in his first year. I wonder what they'll do if he gets 5th ?

my bet is sack him and repeat....

5 years? Who the fuck is Hatchet Man Levy trying to fool? Might as well look for their next manager now.

Don't you just love watching the Scum keep sacking their manager and have only one trophy to show for since Wenger took charge at Arsenal in 1996

This is not good at all. Why couldn't they re-hire 'Arry ffs?

And what exactly would "building a dynasty" entail at Spurs? Coming 5th three years in a row and maybe winning the League Cup?

Because if you're seriously insinuating that Spurs - Tottenham Hotspur, the team that hasn't won the league in half a century, perennial bottlers with a severe inferiority complex - can potentially win back to back league titles or something like that you're more deluded then their actual fans. Pochettino is just another man who'll find himself in Spurs' vast managerial graveyard after he fails to usurp Arsenal/crack the top 4.

I honestly don't see Tottenham winning a league title in my lifetime (barring a seismic shift in the footballing landscape). But thanks for the laugh, anyway - Spurs becoming a dynasty?!.... To even suggest such a thing...

Since Keith Burkinshaw left that lot in 84, Twitchy Redknapp has been their longest serving manager with a whopping three and a half year tenure :coffeespit:

Guess he had to have something to do after racially insulting his ex-wife.
Seldom a dull moment with this bloke (well, relative to his being in solitary that is).

Ah, yes... the attention seeking arsehole that is (the fake) Charles Bronson.  It is not in the least surprising that he is a scum fan. Moronic, deluded, heightened sense of self importance... it's all there.

Found this on Yahoo, it's a load of silliness but after 3 scum players got dropped by Belgium yesterday, it's been gaining momentum. Anything to have a good laugh at that lot

SPURS RUIN THE WORLD CUP

Against Algeria, Belgium struggled to a late win over Algeria. The goal they conceded was a penalty, when Jan Vertonghen brought down Sofiane Feghouli. In midfield, Mousa Dembele held back the squad to such an extent that he was removed after 65 minutes, and then Belgium proceeded to win. As a result, Marc Wilmots learned a valuable lesson in the World Cup - if you start with a Spurs player in your side, you will play badly.

At first, this just looks like a cheap dig at Spurs, a small London club that is growing increasingly bitter as Arsenal and Chelsea consistently outperform them, capable of stunning short-sightedness and hamstrung by a chairman who can’t see beyond the immediate balance book, and who plainly doesn’t understand how to plan for the future with managerial appointments. But then, it starts to make sense.

Think of the other big side at the World Cup with a Spurs player, Brazil midfielder Paulinho, and remember that apart from Neymar, the team have stunk the place out like Steven Gerrard at a Dignity Convention. If Cameroon and Algeria want to improve their performances, too, then it’s bad news for Nabil Bentaleb and Benoit Assou-Ekotto

Funny Reading, really. Actually Assou-Ekotto was dropped too by Cameroon to their last match...

Only a temporary relief because of the World Cup. Once Messiah Pochettino signs his first couple of one season wonders the talk will begin !
