Not often I say this but fair play to Howard Webb. A referee from a tinpot football league would have given Brazil that early penalty and never disallowed that goal. A great decision as clear handball.

Suarez's claims that he lost his balance and bumped into Chiellini are the equivalent of defending a rape charge with "I tripped and fell into her".

Brazil aren't winning the WC, they're blandly average.

Germany will clip them if they meet - reckon France would do them as well.

Dani Alves to mis hit a pen in the shoot out and cost Brazil a win, and I shall be bouncing off the walls.

Brazil will lose to the first decent team they meet. Luckily for them they will orobably be in the semis by that stage. Somewhat fortunate today against a totally average side.

On another note, anyone spotted a black Brazilian fan in a World Cup stadium yet? Only seen half a dozen mixed race fans as well. Guess the protestors werent BShitting about the social problems and issues then. For such a multi-ethnic country it's a bit embarrassing isn't it? You see more racial diversity at Wimbledon!

Not rocket science really.
Was reading an article on Suarez's life story the other day and it really opened my eyes. He had a dark, dark childhood. Was living in a slum with his mum and 6 siblings, his dad left them when he was a toddler. He had to clean the streets to make money for his family as a 9 year old, and apparently got bullied throughout his school life because he was way more talented at football than anyone else. He used to skip classes due to bullying etc, and finally joined Nacional when he was 14 and had to save up to buy football boots. Also his wife, who was his girlfriend at 15, moved to Spain and that crushed him completely. Apparently it is what made him determined to become a top footballer and move to Europe and get with her again.

"His friends and former mentors struggle to explain a complicated idea. They protect him, and explain away his extreme actions, because they sense the desperation buried inside of him and don't know how to articulate it. Basically, the theory goes, anything that threatens his ability to score, and win, isn't processed in his subconscious as the act of a sportsman but, rather, as an act of aggression against his wife and his children. Watching him play certainly supports the idea because, when a defender presses close, Suarez doesn't respond as if the man is trying to take the ball. He reacts as if the defender is trying to send him back to the streets of Montevideo, alone."

Found this very interesting and quite sad tbh. Poor Suarez.
