The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The good thing about this is that it will be over one way or the other very soon so we don't have to suffer through it for weeks on end.

Gutted about Debuchy. Don't rate him. Looked porous today as well.

If that happens the meltdown will be bigger than you have ever seen.

Not for me if I'm honest - yes he looks to be a good player, but he doesn't seem to be the type of player that can lift a team and drag them forward like a player like cesc could do. In my opinion, given the resources available, we should be aiming at top top quality and despite what some might have you believe (cough 1989 cough  ) sanchez is not in that top tier of strikers. If I'm honest though if we play the same system next season, then it doesn't matter who we sign cos we will fail anyway

BBC has confirmed Sanchez has agreed terms with Liverpool, although I have no idea if the twitter is official or just some troll.

Arsenal 49's on fb seem to be confident that he is coming........

They posted about a top attacker coming in a couple of weeks ago

Don't worry it will seem like April 1st pretty soon if they transfer rumours keep developing

Speaking on my own behalf, I don't care who we sign or if we sign anybody at all so there wont be any big level of disappointment with me - what I do enjoy though, is discussing the qualities of the various players we are linked with and if they are the type of players we should be trying to sign. There is an expectation level of zero with me, so losing out to the dippers for players like sanchez doesn't bother me one jot as I have been here before and am immune to it all now.

The one exception to that rule though is kalou - if we sign that useless ivory coast c.unt I will go absolutely ballistic

This

And the fact that we could sign Messi, Ibrahimovich and Ronaldo + the rest of our virtual squad and still not show any signs of improvement as long as Le Cock is in charge

Tony"another scouse victim"Evans has tweeted that the player is still undecided about his future. The money is agreed but Barcawhores want to know if they can include him in the deal.apparently he is still undecided.

Bored yet anybody. Said all along he was off to join the victims and we were being used.
