The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think Podolski would / will be the first in queue to leave as Sanchez is a winger.
Good luck getting that 90k a week off our books.

Yeah you've got a lot of ambition as shown by the fact you're selling the best striker in the league.

Deluded *word censored*.
Infinitely more fun when it's other teams selling their best players.

Well... We have sold more than our fair share of upper echelon players ourselves; don't think we're in any position to criticize Liverpool for selling a wantaway Suarez, who's banned for four months and is a complete liability.
Fuck them.

Won't earn that elsewhere but he strikes me as somebody who gives a shit about his career and his international prospects, can't see him rotting in the ressies just to pick up his pay packet.

Really like Podolski but he doesn't really fit into the squad and if selling him is the price to pay for a player like Sanchez it's well worth it. I would also have bombed out Cazorla for Fabregas without a moment's hesitation.

Now if only we could manage to get hold of our medical team - who all go away for the entire duration of the summer, leaving no- one available to complete medicals.

Or, if his proper new club play them in the CL:

Mettere in vendita Suarez, firmiamo Alexis Sanchez, Alexis Sanchez, Alexis Sanchez :barscarf:

Sanchez' reps have told #Liverpool that the player is "likely to join #Arsenal". His family prefer London. Arsenal have met Barca's price.

#AFC close to completing Debuchy & talks ongoing for Sanchez. #LFC unlikely to pursue AS (Suarez set to be straight cash) but Juve very keen

Looking like us or Juventus for Sanchez, surely a player of his class will come to the prem?
