No title this decade

Post by SydneyGooner »

Since we won our first league title in 1931, we have always managed to win at least one a decade but with the self serving greedy thief in charge for the next three seasons, we will go without a league title this decade for the first time since the '60s.

It's not about going ten years but rather about the specific decade timeframes (ie 2000-2009. 2010-2019 etc)

Btw clockender, if le cock leaves in 2017 he will have left the squad and club (bank accounts aside) in such a poor position that no manager in the world could turn it around by the end of this decade

Why not? Fergie bailed at United as he knew the time was right, Moyes solidified the decline to the extent of dropping out of the CL with a squad that has lost the foundation of its success (its defence) yet Van Gaal has gone in, signed 2 players that Moyes tried for last year and now many are wetting themselves and scared of their resurgence even before a ball has been kicked.

There is a huge difference between them challenging for the title and them challenging for top 4 and I would suggest that it is the latter that people are wetting themselves over. There is no way that a team that ends the previous season needing a brand new defence and brand new midfield and there is no way that they can turn themselves into genuine contenders overnight

Blimey! Talk about glass half empty.

Wenger is already focusing on mounting a title challenge as we speak! :barscarf:

At which point I'll launch my AKB standard defence line "ahh, but football has changed"

An old boss of mine says ,markets change, the world changes ,but people never change !
If Wenger could open up and change his ways we could have a very fruitful 2nd half of the decade .
Im not holding my breath !
