The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

BWK Eduardo world class, really? Generally stay away from that term as people have varying ideas of what it encapsulates but under almost any definition I don't see him fitting in that bracket. His all-round play was unremarkable and although he showed a penchant for clinical finishing even before his injury he'd only scored 4 times in 17 PL games. World class is a huge jump imo.

Btw I hope there wasn't too much Lukic after you pumped her full of Seaman

Eduardo was stepping up in my opinion. We were having a great season, he was starting to enjoy English football and then that fateful day at St. Andrews which ruined his career. I still believe had that not of happened he would been a league winner that year and gone on to be a very good player.

Alas, his foot was hanging off and he never mentally recovered. Poor bastard.

It's official, the cannibal is gone to Barca. Doubt Ricky Lambert will have as much of an impact to be honest

This has worked out good for us, Sanchez looks a lot better bet than the players Scousers have got from Southampton. :D

No doubt he was driven to the airport by a South Yorkshire Policeman and a Sun journalist....Actually heard an interview a few days back with a Victim fan who said he hopes the Suarez money is not wasted like the Bale money last season...So there are some of them that grasp reality.

I would take your point on that , but I honestly felt he was on the brink of being a World class player for us..his finishes a few weeks earlier at the Etihad were the finishes of a great striker. That injury may have cost us the title, in terms of losing him and the impact on the squad.

Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague
As well as Debuchy, AFC about to finalise a loan deal for Manquillo. Both for the right back position. Not huge names but clever picks
Sorry if this has already been mentioned. Hopefully if Jenkinson moves it's just on loan and he'll get more regular action.
