Am beginning to feel scoused (ie victimised) on here lately - fcukers that weren't even on this forum in my early days, are having a pop at my paragraph issues back then :(

Anyway, as a man that has pleaded for a quality DM to be signed for the past 4 seasons (watching ding dong waddle his arse around midfield will do that to you  ),can I just say that I hope to god that khedira isn't coming
Why do you not want Khedira? The guy is class.

I’m literally salivating thinking about a Ramsey-Khedira-Ozil midfield trio

Firstly he is not class - class means that he is gifted on the ball when clearly that is not the case. Secondly and more importantly, I don't believe he is the type of player we need - his game is all about energy and covering ground but we already have ramsey doing that job. What we need is a schweinsteiger type of player - someone who sits in front of the back 4 and loves nothing more than winning the tough physical challenges and getting the ball to his more gifted team-mates (ie ozil, cazorla, wilshere etc). If you think that signing a khedira type of player would be better than signing a schweinsteiger type of player then clearly our vulnerabilities in the past few years have passed you by

I’ve seen a lot of people saying ‘We don’t need Khedira, he’s a box to box player much like Ramsey and Wilshere’ or something along those lines. However, the man is absolute class and would be a massive upgrade on our current holding midfielders because lets be honest we can’t be relying on Arteta and Flamini to get through a whole season. Also compared to Ramsey and Wilshere he is much more defensive minded in my opnionn and I’m certain if Wenger wanted him to play a holding role he would do it with aplomb. Not getting my hopes up but this would be an incredible signing.

So what you are saying, is that we should buy khedira based on his performances to date, but when we buy him we should change him from the type of player that impressed us enough to persuade us to buy him in the first place ?

This is what I struggle to get my head around.... Why the fuck would we buy a player to turn him into something he is not? Can we not just go out and buy the right player in the first fucking place!!

In that "Sport" article someone linked to above it says one of the main reasons he wants to leave Madrid for Arsenal is that he felt he was being pushed to be too defensive, esp under Moaninho, he believes he will have more freedom under the Arsenal style of play. So definitely not coming as a DM. :x

If there's one thing you can't have enough of it's attack minded midfielders. Unless you're Arsenal in which case you can.

Augie wants either Schweinsteiger or Lars Bender.

Problem is Bayern will not sell and if Pep tries to,it will probably be the beginning of the end of his tenure at Bayern.

Leverkusen are being f**king arsey over Bender, they are not poor so they will only sell for "you are offering how much" type of price. AW will not do that.

The only other options are Javi Martinez(gettable as he isn't settled in Bavaria),Matuidi(bit like Khedira) or Schneiderlin.

Of those names if we could I like Martinez and don't mind Schneiderlin.

Khedira isn't that bad at that position he just needs to be disciplined. He can't be too bad at it as he was Maureen's first choice in that position at Real.
