The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ozil has suffered because of some of the shit he has had to play with... but don't let that cloud your judgement.
Shit he played with? The German WC winning team?
Ah yes because you are now going to tell me he looked shit for Germany? Get a grip.

May get the best out of Özil with his bestie Kedhira playing alongside

Neither Klose or Giroud suit Ozil's game. Alexis on the other hand will devour the chances Ozil lays on for him.

Arsenal are 'confident' of signing midfielder Sami Khedira from Real Madrid. (Source: Sky Sports)

You fools hat don't you understand…when you see the names on the team sheet of Khedira, Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott Ramsey then tony pubis would already be sent to Mars. The battle is half won.

I thought you just wanted the club to spendsum4uckingmoney?
Sure. How do people think of giving Sanogo a 5 year 150k a week contrract?
I don't see the comparison.

World cup record goalscorer doesn't 'suit' the world class super special awesome LOLzil's game. Sounds about right.

He's right Ozil is quite poor.

Khedira is a nothing player.

Maureen played both of them in his record points La liga winning season and you know he'll put any old sh*te in the team.

Some players start iffy and progress, some fail. Some even start well then decline.. Like Jose Antonio Reyes.

Ozil could be unhappy here but until he has a proper rest and comes back hopefully refreshed, we won't know either way.

Khedira's injuries are a concern though but comparing him to Sanogo is a bit much.

Klose is a poacher, of all his world cup goals the furthest out was the penalty spot. Ozil is at his most dangerous playing through balls to runners in behind a defence. It's why he had Europe's highest assist rating when firing balls through to Ronaldo, Benzema and co. at Madrid. We saw it on a few occasions before Walcott got crocked last season and we will see it again to even better effect this year with Alexis. Giroud and Klose are stikers with a lot of attributes but pace ain't one.

Only six of which were scored during Ozil's time in the squad... Muller's pace and movement suit Ozil's game better.
