A proper DM he may be but Leverskusen don't need the money. Their GM said as much a few days ago. So though his wages would be lower than Greedira,the upfront fee would start from £25-30million.
Funny feeling we won't get a DM.
Schneiderlin will get tired of waiting and will head to another club, probably the scum. Martinez doesn't sound like he's on the market, Vidal is out of our price range.
AW likes Fellaini and did try for him last season. Then the Telegraph are saying we want a player included in the TV5 sale coupled with one of the papers last week saying Van Gaal wants shot of Fellaini.
It all points to us getting lumbered with him. Except he's bit a DM.

given their lack of sugar daddy, they wouldnt turn down 20-25m for him. not a german regular, unproven at the top top level, despite looking to have all the attributes. estimates of 30m are overly pesismistic imo.
we better sign a facking decent dm...if we get that carthorse fellani, who isnt a dm, rather an slow klump i will be fuming, rather we sit on the money than waste it.

Overall cost of the deal for bender would probably be considerably less than any deal for khedira -don't even know why I am mentioning that because, given our resources, this cost of the deal shouldn't be the deciding factor anyway.
We need someone like Mascherano or Xabi Alonso. Bender would be a decent fit I think but it doesnt seem like AW is interested? Khedira is a good player but we need someone that sits deeper so Ramsey can bomb forward. Flamini is a good player but not good enough to start the whole season, plus we all know he's prone to the red card. Arteta is TOO FUCKING SLOW and can't seem to pass forward anymore.
From what I've seen of Khedira he's more of a deep-lying midfielder than what I would consider to be a traditional DM, more in the Arteta mode than Flamini. Tbh he's probably good enough to adapt and fulfil that role excellently in the PL but I don't for a minute think that if he came either him or Wenger would want him to be limited to such a disciplined, uncreative role.

Don't need someone like khedira, Alonso or gilberto - not one of them is the tough physical DM that we need and Alonso is no faster than arteta btw.
Khedira is exactly what we need, his experience in the big big games is not even questionable IMHO
Tried as much as possible(once mention of being target) to watch his every move which was shown on TV during the WC even when off the ball, he's positioning for quick breaks etc was good enough for me. He tackled fine even bossed the hulk (ok I know hulk is shite but he's still a unit)
Forget comparing anyone to PV, he was a one off, as is YT
Only concerns I have is his wages/previous injuries - playing wise don't see much of a problem.
