You are never happy you miserable fuck :barscarf:

Sign any 1 of Martinez, schweinstiger, bender, Vidal or pogba and I will be ecstatic 8)
If we sign any of them I think it would be amazing.

However, I don't see Bayern selling Schweinstiger now after he was influential in the World Cup. If they do it will cause major uproar. I can't see Martinez mainly because of wages. I don't think Juventus would be stupid enough to sell their stars, at least before the season starts. They just lost Conte and replaced him with Allegri, a man so popular #NoAllegri was trending WORLDWIDE upon the news of his appointment, I don't think they will be in a particular rush to dismantle their winning team further, at least for under 40 odd mill.

I think the only top class DM attainable is Bender but we bod last year and Leverkusen were reluctant to part with him then. I don't think Schnederlein is in the same bracket as the aforementioned but I still would be happy if we signed him.

1. Martinez is rumoured to be unsettled in bayern

2. Conte left juve because they are gonna sell one of their 2 midfield stars - it would make no sense whatsoever to allow a successful manager to walk out the door over this, and then backtrack on your decision and decide not to sell
1. I stated wages being a possible issue re Martinez.

2. Nothing official as to why Conte really resigned. Buffon states something within cpConte being the issue, not the club. Probably club waffle. I also stated that it would be difficult to get either Vidal or Pogba for anything under 40-45m. I'm not saying that, that's a problem I'm just saying Arsene wouldn't fancy that.

prefer try to buy players that big clubs are not willing to sell even if they cant improve our squad?
where is the logic?

Am I to assume that you are saying that none of the 5 players I listed would improve our squad ? The way your transfer business is meant to work buddy, is that you start high on the list of players and then you work your way down - a club of our vast resources shouldnt be starting their search at schnederlin

Just to cap it off with a CB (or 2 if Verms leave), CDM, GK and a CF (doubt this)

I think Wenger will play this:

OG as CF
Sanchez - LAM
OZ11 - CAM
Theo - RAM
Aaron and new CDM

So it would seem that it's Santi who is most 'affected' by Sanchez' purchase and not Theo or OG

I doubt he will buy a center forward after spending so much one Sanchez. Matter of fact Yaya will get some games as CF too. I still think we should offer 27 Mil for Jackson Martinez.

CB - Fabian Schar
CDM - Bender/Javi Martinez, Gustavo, Schneiderlin. In that order

Hopefully Ospina comes home.

Peace

Now that wenger is NOT going to make any more (decent) signings....we will all hang around getting bored shyteless...and the AKB's will say he's working behind the scenes... :blah: :blah: :blah:  and the (wiser) WOB's will counter that he's done all his business etc etc etc so ....while we wait for the new season to start and for the transfer window to close let's entertain ourselves!

1989 I would suggest to you that the reason we haven't sold our top players again this summer, is because outside of our club they ain't viewed as top quality (except ozil whose form last season was very average). When we had Cesc and rvp there were top clubs lining up to sign them but that ship has sailed and holding onto our players now isn't as hard as it used to be so isn't the real coup you make it out to be
Ramsey is a top player and is viewed as such by other teams, too.

Also, Fabregas and Van Persie were our only top players back then - that's only two - we have three now in Ozil, Ramsey, and Sanchez.

I don't know why you claim "holding on to our players isn't as hard as it used to be" when you just acknowledged we only had two top players to hold on to - you make it sound like teams were clamoring to sign our whole squad.
But Barcelona aren't putting all of their effort into dislodging Ramsey and City have stopped throwing money at our players in an attempt to unsettle them....

Even if you don't agree with Augie's point about perceptions of quality the reality is no clubs are going to to these lengths to unsettle our players any more.
Since when was the quality of your players dictated by the level of interest in them from other clubs?

Anyway we'll be lucky to hold on to Ramsey for a couple more years. He'll be a Real Madrid player by 2016-17.

£18M - pretty much the going rate I would say for a regular international, aged 24 and proven in the PL

I wouldn't be at all sad if we got him. He's used to playing in a similar passing style at Saints - would fit straight in I reckon

I agree. Schneiderlin is a very good player and 18m is normal price in todays market. He is also a home-grown player which makes him even better option. We should have signed him two years ago or at least last summer.

The way it happens in most (but not all situations) is that the good players will always attract a high level of interest whilst the average/poor players not so much - of course there are other issues that come into the equation (character, injury record etc) but by and large the level of interest in a player will give you an indication on how highly he is rated

Which is exactly why no *word censored* is interested in the world's greatest Danish striker !

Believe it or not, he was the player I was thinking about whilst typing that and hence why i put in the character factor

We couldn't go wrong with this one SteveO. Premier League hardened, young, good price, hungry and will fit right in. Exactly what we need for the DM position and to let Rambo, Özil and the rest create havoc going forwards.

He loves a dirty tackle as well. No messing with us with him in midfield.

I would not be disaappointed with his acquisition but, as I've said before, I can't see it happening for the quoted price as they've no need to sell.

We'll offer £11m, they'll ask for £25m and we will walk away.

Plastic tits are gross. They look good but horrible to touch and you're limited in what she'll let you do with them despite the size benefit.

Nope, don't even look good.

I'd take small and natural any day over artificial enormous monstrosities you could park a car between.
