The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Christ the transfer window is a pain, Kedira is signing tomorrow, Real say no bid received for Kedira, Balotelli deal done, no Arsenal bid for Ballotelli , blah blah blah and more bollix, I wish I could hibernate until the 16th of August or at least stop reading bullshit sites

Watched that clip on the mirror page just to see a bit of him in action and drew the following conclusions -

1. Doesn't look the most mobile - would actually say that he can look a bit cumbersome

2. Ball retention look excellent and he seemed to have a good eye for a pass 8)

3. His positioning looked excellent - most of those clips showed him intercepting passes more than making actual tackles and I know that will please a few on here

4. That whoever put that clip together must have a real hard on for the guy (1989 was it you ? ). It was the most basic compilation I have ever seen and a few of the highlights actually required him to do nothing

Breaking news here- Wenger has told media he is not after a striker.

He also hints that there wont be any midfielders coming in unless injuries occur. He's after a CB.

just cant please some ppl. he shared the golden glove last season, yet he is seen as shit. i wonder if some of these ppl watch our games or keep themselves abreast with arsenal happenings...

peace

Balotelli, please come home!

Sanchez is NOT the answer to our CF problem if we continue to play 4 2 3 1

Peace

Aaaaaahhh the sign of a gifted defender - appearing to do nothing. I'd be happy if our leading CB didn't touch the ball all season purely because he had the rest so organized.

I'm with you guys - some may not like his confidence (but show me a good keeper without a massive ego) - but I think his position of one of few we don't need a better option in. I expect over the coming 4-5 seasons he will be regarded as best in the world.

He's overrated and a ticking time bomb.

Pass.
But imagine how big his thread would be on this forum "what's Mario done now"....won't be boring....
