I couldn't agree more - I think he trying to force Wenger into a massive salary hike - personally I don't think he should be anywhere near our highest earners.
Really?
I think he's one of our top 3 players. easy.
I also think he's just trying to prove a point because AW was ready to let him go. He Will Sign.

Flamini wouldn't even get into my top 5, let alone 3...Fabregas, Van Persie (when fully fit), Clichy and Sagna are all more competent players than Flamster, I agree he's had a great season but I'm not convinced long term, although I'm happy to be proved wrong!

I'm agreeing with you..well, kind of.
- top 3..no, but maybe top 5..he has been impressive!

Fabregas, RvP and Ade, in my eyes, are our top 3 players...not Flamini.

Adebayor - ok, not everyones favourite player, but bare in mind that he's scored 21 league goals so far this season - and most of the season he's been the lone striker!
- credit where its due, the guy has been great for us this season. If he left, we'd be in the shit wouldn't we? how much would we have to spend to find a striker who would settle in straight away, and lead the line for us...and score 20+gls a season? bloody expensive i'd guess!

Van Persie - top, top quality player. Again, a player capable of scoring plenty of goals and is a dead ball specialist as yesterday's game proved. Replacing him would be difficult in my opinion!

Fabregas - well, we're all in agreement with Cesc, so no agrument needed. Genius!

After those 3, i'd say we have a group of important (but replacable) players, such as Flamini, Hleb, Sagna, Gallas, Clichy and Rosicky.

Flamini has been great, and I'm really hoping he stays...but if not, then i'm confident Wenger will find a replacement for under £10m.

Problem is...that's funds that could, and should, be spent elsewhere on the team!

We are talking about top 3 players in terms of how much we'd be willing to pay them, and therefore RVP must be way down the list.
There's no way we get our moneys worth outta him, he's constantly injured. And Adebayor im not sure about for top 3.

Mine top 5 would be.
Fabregas
Clichy
Flamini
Ade
Rvp

Altho I suspect the actual one is very different and Gallas will be fairly high up.

I just realised I it's only Fabregas and Toure I think who's worth doing anything to keep of the players in this squad :o

haha...you sod, I knew someone would notice that!

I nearly left his name out  , but yeah, I'd say Rosicky is important..I personally think we've missed him. I know he's been injured alot, but that doesn't change the fact he's an important part of our team IMO.

I just hope he's fit more next season...he's certainly a quality player!

No-one is irreplaceable, however I struggle to think of any left backs that would be as good as if not better than Gael.

I think of plenty..even players that could b converted into leftbacks.
Maybe we couln't get anybody doing as many forward runs but instead maybe who actually cud cross the ball or produce more when actually going forward.

OKAY GUYS, I'VE DECIDED TO PLAY DEVIL'S ADVOCATE.

NOW A THOUGHT CROSSED MY MIND THIS AFTERNOON REGARDING THE FLAMINI 'WILL HE? WON'T HE SIGN? PALAVOUR. IF REPORTS ARE TO BE BELIEVED, FLAMINI IS BEING OFFERED AN INCREASE OF OVER 100% ON HIS CURRENT WAGES, GOING FROM £25,000 TO OVER £50,000 PER WEEK. YET APPARENTLY THE FLAMINAL WANTS SOMETHING NEARER £80,000.

NOW ALTHOUGH THE CIRCUMSTANCES AREN'T EXACTLY THE SAME, WHEN CASHLEY TURNED DOWN A SIMILAR KIND OF OFFER, WE RIGHTLY CALLED HIM A GREEDY *word censored* AND SAID HE COULD FECK OFF FOR ALL WE CARED.

SO, THE QUESTION IS: WHY IS FLAMINI - A PLAYER WHO UP UNTIL THIS SEASON MANY CONSIDERED NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ARSENAL - NOT BEING GIVEN ANY GRIEF FROM THE FANS ABOUT HIS FAILURE TO SIGN A NEW CONTRACT - MONTHS AFTER HE WAS SUPPOSEDLY GOING TO? :?

DISCUSS.
