Chants for De silva

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Chants for De silva

Post by Ben-gooner14 »

He's my chant, simple and effective like viera's, he comes from senegal he plays for arsenal.

We brought him from Zagreb
He's better than Hleb
De Silva ooh, De Silva ooh

To the tune of Hi Ho Silver lining

Hi Ho Eduardo Da Silva

Wherever we go with Arsenal

We know our strikers scoring

and we're beating you

and it's obvious!

I'd rather call him Eduardo to be honest. It would stop the confusion with him and Gilberto, it will be easier to sing sings about Eduardo rather than Da Silva and finally, Eduardo sounds cooler than Da Silva

Posted this on another thread already but as it's more suited to this one...

To the tune of the song "Sunshine Superman" by Donovan - the song from the Magners Cider advert - www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G3eoNSqPAk

The original lyrics are:

Sunshine came softly through my a-window today
It'll take time I know it, but in a while
'Cause I made my mind up you're going to be mine

And the Eduardo version:

Sunshine came through the transfer, window today
His name’s Eduardo and he’s, prolific they say
The silverware's ours cos we’ve got Da Silva now

Eduardo is a gooner,
Our super croat
and when he scores a goal
it's cos Robbo's far too fat

He's scores it with his left foot
he scores them with his right
He'll score more than Darren Bent
Because the **** are proper shite

Hi ho Da Silva's signing
Every where we go
You'll see the sun is shining
when he scores a goal

Oh it's obvious.....

Put this on another thread but it's not bad for me so thought better put it on here too.

i think this is probably gonna be the terrace winner although singing Eduardo over Da Silva is gonna sound better in my opinion. i read in some article somewhere that eh prefers to be called dudu or something like that. da silva = his mothers name and he doesn't think he should have that on his shirt

although being called dudu opens up some unfortunate comparisons for other teams to sing and some dodgy sun headlines come to mind already

You lot are rubbish with syllables - apart from Chopper. Good shout.

Oh and no more songs to the tune of "Vieira" or any other song we and every other team in the world has churned out 7,003,204 times please. Ta.

No problem. In fact, I quite like coming on here and "dropping knowledge" every once in a while.

Ok you've gone to far now Tony.

I can cope with people shooting off.

I can take them choking the chicken down the road.

I admit to coming early but certainly never leave early.

I just don't want to have people dripping in my face.

Or i'm off to concentrat on watersports instead.

I'm off to take a golden shower and hope things have cleaned up by the time i return.

Now where did i put that box of kleenex something funny has just come over me.

Ummm... I thought my effort was syllabically adequate! Or at least syllabollockly adequate. Back to the drawing board.

I agree with the no "more Viera songs" comment though.
