As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Can't have double standards with Jenkinson, nice lad who loved the club but he just wasn't good enough, we moan when the club hold on to dead wood so can't complain when they finally realise it might not work and clears it out.
I wish him well, shame it's up in that dump though.

some of us think he has the potential to be good enough though. As someone else said defenders improve with age/experience...if he leaves I'd be sorry to see him go and hope he develops at his new club.

Agreed. Pity he didn't make it but he was bizarrely plucked from obscurity and he just didn't have the ability. I'd personally be surprised if he carves out a career as an established PL right-back but the credibility of being at Arsenal will have helped his career no end from where he was 3 years ago.

Agree totally. Yes work in progress, lot to learn, but give me that commitment and passion all day long over an average French defender who has cost us £10/£12m. I am genuinely sorry he's gone. What hope young English players.
I think this is sad
If Schneiderlin goes to Spurs his development will stall imo. Obviously Pochettino likes him but they are seriously over-stocked with players that can play CM and there is so much constant upheaval there that even if he nails down a regular place it won't do him wonders playing in such a transitional environment.
Sorry to see Jenk leave, if he does, but I honestly can not see him being a top class right back, having said that I wasn't impressed with Debuchy at the Grove last year.
