The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Mentioned Hangeland after he got released but no one seemed interested. Just assumed no one rated him. But he would be a good back up and is exactly as remigardeshair describes him.

Noticed our resident scum fan that likes long words is lurking again...come to tell us how it's your year because of your awesome capture of a player whose position you are over stocked for or the crocked striker that won't play for month

Too much time on your hands?

My bad.
And it's not fake list, it's optimistic dream list. With Bender added, Sanogo and Jenko loaned. Also Ryo removed.

BTW why did new Chambo wore number 5 shirt on today's training? :rubchin:

Hope Campbell gets a squad number -surely he deserves a chance over raw Sanago?

Jeezzusss H you'd think so wouldn't you...In all honesty I would expect him - if given the opportunity by wenker - to be challenging Giroud for 1st striker position.

Anybody gets he feeling he is going back to the ball behind defense or short angle pass with Walcott and Sanchez, and only use Giroud as a legit 'plan B'.

Btw Campbell likes to come short and receive ball -not target-man type.

Think Campbell could actually work well just off Giroud, the way Theo did a few times last season.

Hope he will be given a chance. He deserves it.

Think he is the type of player who will blow a bit hot and cold but will chip in with important goals ala Wiltord

Campbell with 28, Chambo with number 5. So Vermaelen is off? :rubchin:

Plenty of other players were wearing incorrect numbers as well. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Barkley signs 4 year contract extension at everton. United getting absolutely nothing in this window and I love it.
